Skullthrone is a blackened death metal band formed in 2009 in Bogota, by Goatlust (Oscar Quijano) and Luciphago (Duvan Pereira). Initially, the project started as a duo, based on guitars, drums and voices, talking about anti-Christian themes on the basis of classic Black metal. In 2011, the band released a demo entitled "Hymns for Abyssmal Satan" under the label Ultrametal Productions, in Helvete Studio. From this moment, Skullthrone began working with different musicians in order to establish a stable lineup, being the only permanent members: Goatlust and Luciphago. Between 2013 and 2014, Skullthrone joined Cerberus (Alex Aguirre) and Marius Alhazred (Mario García), members with which the band started recording their first studio album "Biomechanical Messiah", and it is with this work that Skullthrone demonstrates his musical and lyrical maturity to build harmonies focused on technique without forgetting the ideological purpose of Black metal. Philosophically and ideologically, Skullthrone talks about an anti-Christian concept influenced by different schools of thought and Luciferian Esotericism. And the central idea of the band is: The man, the human being as a potential god able to rise above any fallacy and dogma, as the Judeo-Christian myth and his corrupt value system. Lust, cruelty and hatred are fundamental ideas with which the band works its lyrics. Authors like Sade, Baudelaire and Crowley, represent a literary basis and key influence in structuring verses and ideas. On the other hand, existentialism and Nietzsche's nihilism are vital to provide depth and seriousness of the philosophical background of the band. Luciferin ideological orientation could be framed within the Michael W. Ford's studies, the order of Phosphorus and the paradigm of chaos. In July 2015, Demiurge (Ivan Torres) joined the band to perform the vocals on a new process.

This album is the first full-length release from the band. The album takes songs that talk about anti-Christianity, lust and carnality. However, the main idea of this work is the Luciferian feeling. The compositional work on this album was in charge of each of the band members. Each melody and harmony were strictly assembled in studio by Skullthrone's musicians.This album is Blackened Death Metal, but lyrical content is 100% Black Metal. The lyrics were written intelligently and under the control of each band member. Biomechanical Messiah recorded and mixed in Acid Music Studio.
