«NEKROMANTHRA» — третий полноформатник проекта PSICORRAGIA. Активная с 1994 года, банда выработала свой неповторимый стиль, уходящий корнями в мрак, сочетая мощь doom metal с элементами и техникой традиционного death metal, а также нюансами black metal и влиянием других мрачных жанров, зарекомендовав себя как солидный представитель жанра в Южной Америке. В свежем релизе коллектив ещё глубже погружается в своё самое тёмное видение, выраженное в шести песнях. На протяжении этих треков плотные и похоронные фрагменты сосуществуют с меланхоличной атмосферой и вспышками хаоса, не отказываясь при этом от грубости и техничности. Тематически альбом исследует самые чёрные уголки человеческой сущности. Тексты затрагивают темы распада физического и морального, неизбежности конца, присутствия бездны и размышлений о неумолимом... Все композиции были спродюсированы самой группой, что углубляет мрачное видение Psicorragia. Альбом был записан в 2024 году, а сведение и мастеринг были завершены в период с января по июль 2025 года. "NEKROMANTHRA" is the third full-length album by the Peruvian death/doom metal band PSICORRAGIA. Active since 1994, the band has forged a distinctive identity rooted in darkness, combining the weight of death/doom metal with elements and technique from traditional death metal, along with black metal nuances and influences from other dark genres, establishing itself as a representative band of the genre in South America. With this new release, the band delves even deeper into its darkest vision, expressed through six tracks infused with death/doom metal. Throughout the album, dense and funereal passages coexist with melancholic atmospheres and eruptions of chaos, without abandoning the rawness or technicality of traditional death metal. The work also incorporates black metal nuances and other lugubrious elements that further radicalize the band’s proposal. Thematically, the album explores the darkest corners of the human species, immersing itself in landscapes of decay, death, and the deepest horrors of existence. The lyrics move through the decomposition of both the physical and the moral, the inevitability of the end, the presence of abyssal forces, and the contemplation of the inexorable... All compositions were conceived and produced by the band itself, shaping a work that deepens Psicorragia’s bleakest vision. The album was recorded during 2024, while mixing and mastering were completed between January and July 2025. The album artwork is a work by American artist Thomas G. Anderson, internationally recognized for his Dark Art aesthetic, where cinematic photography and psychological horror converge. For fans of the early works of My Dying Bride, Anathema, Katatonia, Paradise Lost and Moonspell, as well as bands such as Varathron, Rotting Christ, Acheron, Edge of Sanity, Mystifier, Abysmal Grief, Unholy.
