Nyx is the name of the Primitive Divinity emerged from Chaos and is the personification of Darkness. In Greek language meaning “Night” and it is ambivalent, so can bring rest but also fear of Forces of Darkness and of Death. Nyx was born in 2009, from A. Sathsiva’s mind to give a musical crowning to his hard work on himself in Esoteric and Occult Way, with a Black/Thrash Metal approach. First step, for the band, called “DEATH”, was a self-produced demo and it was designed in little different style because the original idea for the band was a “studio project”, so the style in “DEATH” is too intimist. After a formation change is time for a new self-produced demo “OBNUBILATO INCESTO SEMEN” (2011) that starting a the new musical process for the band, more violent and technical especially for guitar parts; this one contains 5 tracks and starts the Nyx’s custom to use antique paintings for the covers to express, although at different levels, knowledge and esoteric concepts. In the same year, Nyx, is in “TORINO BLACK METAL” a compilation released by JOIN THIS ORDER label, with the song “UNHEDONISTIC PHRENOMOPHOBIA” In 2012, a collaboration/pact between Sathsiva and a Turin’s esoterist bring to a co-production for “FIDES LUCIFERA”. The pact wanted, from the band, the insert of some parts in the songs/artwork (as diplophonic singing in “Tulpa Strigoi” or the Seal with a determinate sequence of symbols and associated songs in the last page of the cover, for example) and from the esoterist the special formation of ORDO TEMPLI SERPENTIS only for publication of “FIDES LUCIFERA”. This one contains 4 tracks, 2 re-recorded, one was new (“REVERTERIS”) and a Marduk’s cover “JESUS CHRIST SODOMIZED”. Also this issue was recorded as “OBNUBILATO” - all in direct by A. Sathsiva and G. Azelyoth. In 2013 S. Flagellyon joins the band as bass player and back vocals. So Nyx starts a new season of live gigs and writings new songs. In 2014 the fist album is ready, it’s called “HAIRESIS”.

The album is an 11 tracks concept about True Heresy, an opposition to Judeo-Christian Order that put, in society, historical and esoteric falsehoods. Cover artwork represent the Heresy as a Divinty (with a paint of Antonius Eisenhoit, around 1589) and meaning, for album, the force (Divinty in an Esoteric conception for some cults) that mankind can use to get rid from secular slavery. It contains, obviously, many other meanings. Is very important also the number of tracks, eleven, as a Magic Number for spells and is repeated more times in different forms along the album. Nyx get this Magic Spell with a polyphonic mass by G.P. da Plaestrina called “Misse Papae Marcelli” writed in honor of pope Marcellus II and, heretically, it contains many well occulted “Diabolus in Musica” in it’s own polyphonic structure. Other 8 tracks are Nyx’s songs. They express Heretic, Occults and Esoteric concepts experienced in the discipline of Left Hand Path (this is means that also the figure of Christian devil is only a vehicle to “speak about”, not our cult - for Us, this character is only a christian’s perversion) with words, musical arrangements, position within traklist, dissonances in guitar parts on certain words, in a Black/Thrash Metal key.
