Cannibal Corpse считаются важным именем в жанре death metal, а также одной из самых коммерчески успешных групп этого стиля, даже с учётом запретов в некоторых странах. Название для группы придумал Alex Webster, описавший Cannibal Corpse как "труп нежити, который собирается вас съесть". Chris Barnes был вокалистом, автором текстов и в целом творческой силой группы на протяжении первых четырёх альбомов. Его попросили покинуть группу по причине проблем с вокалом, а также из-за взаимоотношений внутри группы. И это несмотря на слухи о том, что он слишком много времени уделял своей группе Six Feet Under. С тех пор обновлённый Cannibal Corpse с изменённым логотипом приобрёл статус самого брутального коллектива планеты. Каждый альбом становился сенсацией. Всё это касается и свежего полноформатника "Violence Unimagined", на котором объединили усилия легендарные музыканты: Alex Webster, Paul Mazurkiewicz, George Fisher, Rob Barrett и Erik Rutan! Cannibal Corpse are considered an important name in the death metal genre as well as one of the style's most commercially-successful bands, even taking into account the bans in some countries. Alex Webster came up with the name for the band, describing a Cannibal Corpse as "an undead corpse that's going to eat you". Chris Barnes was the vocalist, lyricist, and a large overall part of the band's creative force throughout their first four albums. He was asked to leave the band for the reasons of increasingly poor vocal performances as well as attitude issues. This is despite rumors saying it was for spending too much time on his side-band Six Feet Under. Since then, the updated Cannibal Corpse with a redesigned logo has acquired the status of the most brutal collective on the planet. Each album became a sensation. All this also applies to the fresh full-length album "Violence Unimagined", where legendary musicians have joined forces: Alex Webster, Paul Mazurkiewicz, George Fisher, Rob Barrett and Erik Rutan! The listener is waiting for 11 evil tracks, which are at the moment the pinnacle of the gang's skill, which has perfected its trademark and ruthless sound... Album "Violence Unimagined" was released in April 2021.
