Co-release Satanath Records with Vegvisir Distribution, No Balls Records and Fetzner Death Records: new album "Foretaste of Justice" of Georgian-German atmospheric black metal band Abigorum is out on August 13th, 2024!

ABIGORUM основан Алексеем Королёвым в апреле 2012 года в Санкт-Петербурге. За это время были выпущены: демо "Abigorum" в 2012, сингл "My Haemophilia" (о собственной болезни музыканта) в 2013, совместный альбом "Unholy Ghost Liturgy" (с Cryostasium) в 2016 и сплит-альбом "Spectral Shadows" (со Striborg) в 2018. В январе 2019 года к группе присоединились 2 музыканта из Германии - Tino Thiele (из Trond, Wulfgar, Phreneticum) и Sandra Batsch. Поэтому месторасположение группы стало интернациональным. Жанр проекта не изменился, было принято решение записать альбом на немецком языке. Первый полноформатный альбом "Exaltatus Mechanism" вышел в июне 2019 года на Satanath Records. Сандра покинула коллектив в декабре 2020, и Abigorum стал дуэтом. Алексей и Тино выпустили второй альбом "Vergessene Stille" в апреле 2021 года на лейблах Duplicate Records (винилы), Void Wanderer Productions (кассеты) и Black Blood Records (диски). Алексей Королёв покинул Россию в марте 2022, переехав в грузинский город Батуми. В октябре 2022 года вышел релиз "The Call To Silence", сплит ABIGORUM с украинской группой Until My Funerals Began и боливийской бандой Lachrima Corphus Dissolvens. После этого сплит-альбома проект приступил к записи третьего полноформатника "Foretaste of Justice".

ABIGORUM was founded by Aleksey Korolyov in April 2012 in Saint Petersburg. During this time were released: demo "Abigorum" in 2012, single "My Haemophilia" (about the musician's own illness) in 2013, collaboration album "Unholy Ghost Liturgy" (with Cryostasium) in 2016 and split album "Spectral Shadows" (with Striborg) in 2018. In January 2019 the band was joined by 2 musicians from Germany - Tino Thiele (from Phreneticum) and Sandra Batsch. Therefore, the band's location became international. The genre of the project did not change, the decision was made to record the album in German. The first full-length album "Exaltatus Mechanism" was released in June 2019 on Satanath Records. Sandra left the band in December 2020 and Abigorum became a duo. Aleksey and Tino released their second album "Vergessene Stille" in April 2021 on Duplicate Records (vinyl), Void Wanderer Productions (cassette) and Black Blood Records (CD). Aleksey Korolyov left Russia in March 2022, moving to Georgian city Batumi. October 2022 saw the release of "The Call To Silence", an ABIGORUM split with Ukrainian project Until My Funerals Began and Bolivian band Lachrima Corphus Dissolvens. After this split album, the project started recording the third full-length "Foretaste of Justice".

"Foretaste of Justice" - важная глава в истории проекта, жанр которого снова претерпел изменения, став ещё более мелодичным и эпичным. Сравнивая с предыдущими работами, явно заметен уход коллектива от нарочитой грубости и мрачной сырости в музыке к продуманным песенным структурам и созданию духоподъёмной атмосферы. Само звучание при этом не стало лёгким, а сохранило в себе злобу и боль, особенно в текстах. Альбом вобрал в себя все переживания и мысли музыкантов за прошедшие годы, что делает его поистине философским. На релизе отметились Mitka Akkoyun, Dev (Divahar), Gvantsa Giorgadze (Askeesi/Deadsec) и Aina (Blackthorn), чьи вокальные партии являются настоящим украшением данного опуса. С лирикой и переводом текстов помогали Jane Orpheus (Funere), Alexander Astashin, Arevik Melikyan и Elena Janashvili. Артворк от Александра Прокофьева (Noctember). Альбом выйдет в виде digipak CD (500 копий), чёрного винила (100 копий), жёлтого винила (100 копий) и жёлто-синего винила (100 копий). Ещё скоро будут доступны футболки. Записано и сведено в 2022-2023. Мастеринг от Robert Romagna (Audiostahl) в апреле 2024 года. Вокал и скрипка от Mitka Akkoyun записаны в феврале 2024 в Стамбуле. Вокал Dev записал Levon Hakhverdyan в феврале 2024 в Brevis Recording (Ереван). Вокал от Gvantsa записан в марте 2024 года в Тбилиси. Вокал Aina был записал в декабре 2023 в Москве. Альбом посвящён Juha "Agathon" Hintikka (6.06.1968-30.05.2022) из Gloomy Grim, Илье Трунову (28.02.1988-3.06.2021) из Daat и Евгению Пильникову (14.07.1993-18.09.2023) из Wintaar.

"Foretaste of Justice" is an important chapter in the history of the project, whose genre has changed again, becoming even more melodic and epic. Comparing it to the previous works, the band's departure from deliberate roughness and gloomy rawness in the music to well thought-out song structures and creating a spiritually uplifting atmosphere is clearly noticeable. The sound itself did not become light, but retained anger and pain, especially in the lyrics. The album absorbed all the experiences and thoughts of the musicians over the years, which makes it truly philosophical. The release features Mitka Akkoyun, Dev (Divahar), Gvantsa Giorgadze (Askeesi/Deadsec) and Aina (Blackthorn), whose vocal parts are a real highlight of this opus. Jane Orpheus (Funere), Alexander Astashin, Arevik Melikyan and Elena Janashvili helped with lyrics and translation. Artwork by Noctember. The album will be released as digipak CD (500 copies), black vinyl (100 copies), yellow vinyl (100 copies) and yellow-blue splatter vinyl (100 copies). T-shirts will also be available soon. Recorded and mixed in 2022-2023. Mastering by Robert Romagna (Audiostahl) in April 2024. Vocals and violin by Mitka Akkoyun recorded in February 2024 in Istanbul. Vocals by Dev recorded by Levon Hakhverdyan in February 2024 at Brevis Recording (Yerevan). Vocals by Gvantsa were recorded in March 2024 in Tbilisi. Vocals by Aina were recorded in December 2023 in Moscow. The album is dedicated to Juha "Agathon" Hintikka (6.06.1968-30.05.2022) from Gloomy Grim, Ilya Trunov (28.02.1988-3.06.2021) from Daat and Evgeny Pilnikov (14.07.1993-18.09.2023) from Wintaar.
