Ce « For Thine Is the Kingdom, and the Power, and the Glory » est donc assez classique mais efficace et maitrisé.

For Thine Is The Kingdom, And The Power, And The Glory".

"For Thine Is The Kingdom, And The Power, And The Glory" è un piacevole lavoro Black-Death di qualità e senza fronzoli. Raise your horns in the air!

For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory ».

« For thine is the kingdom…

Ira Militias Productions.

Some things never have to change. Musically, the more a genre evolves and changes, the more old school faddists come rising above, regenerating the more traditional outbursts of the genre. Black and death metal certainly fit in that category. Throughout the years the genre evolved into countless of different sub genres. Many bands added synths, violins, electronics or just a load of effect pedals to create either massive walls-of-sound or gloomy atmospheric music.

But then, there are bands like this French act, named Necrocult. This trio has been around since the nineties, formed in 1994 under the name Crucifix. Strangely however, the band hasn't recorded anything before 2003. By that time, the name was changed and the original death metal style got mixed with chaotic blackened elements. Now, twelve years later, the band comes up with a second album and it takes off where the previous one ended, with sheer metallic violence.

The music by Necrocult can easily be described as classic mix of black and death metal. After all, it contains all the necessary ingredients to make it resemble one of those awesome old albums on labels like Candlelight or Osmose records. Furthermore, the fierce guitars, growls and screams, mid tempo and blast beats come quite varied, making the album enjoyable for the entire duration, which isn't often the case with these kind of old school albums.

So if you're in for a tremendous throwback into the aggressive extremes of the nineties, this definitely is your thing. It rarely gets more old school than this. Immortal, Darkthrone, Bolt Thrower and Vital Remains often come to mind when I listen to these songs. The alternation between the two genres is great and add some more variation to the whole, which is welcome with quite long songs like these.

Necrocult are a band from France that plays a blackened form of death metal and this is a review of their 2015 album "For Thine Is The Kingdom, The Power, And The Glory" which was released as a joint effort between Satanath Records and Ira Militias Productions.

A very dark and heavy death metal sound starts off the album and after a few seconds blast beats and powerful bass lines start becoming a very huge part of t he recording and when the music speeds up it gets more brutal along with some growling vocals and black metal screams and the riffs also get melodic at times.

Throughout the recording there is a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts while some riffs also bring in elements of thrash and most of the tracks are very long and epic in length and all of the songs are perfectly balanced between both black and death metal influences creating a mixture of the 2 genres and all of the songs avoid any use of solos and leads and all of the songs remain very heavy from beginning to ending of the recording.

Necrocult plays a musical style that takes black metal and mixes it in with a very fast style of death metal that also gets very technical at times while also being very heavy all throughout the tracks, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover Occultism and Dark themes.

In my opinion Necrocult are a very great sounding blackened death metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Forbidden Heaven" and "The Godsend".

Avril 2015, c'est la sortie de leur 2ème opus 'For Thine Is The Kingdom And The Power And The Glory' .

Magistral !

Necrocult… There are several of them… This review deals with the French one.

Actually, this band was formed in 1994 as Crucifix, playing an old schooled form of Death Metal. Yet slowly on, their approach got darker, and the nameless debut album, released in 2003 via French label Snakebite Productions, already brought a more evil-sounding sound (in mean time the band’s moniker changed into the current one).

Now, after more than a decade, the band sets a new step with this sophomore album, still consisting of rather long tracks. Still with the very same line-up (guitar player / vocalist Loran, bassist / vocalist Manu and drummer David), Necrocult bring a quite technically high-profile form of rhythmic and brutal Death Metal with lots of Black Metal elements and a powerful sound. There is quite some melody within the harsh structures, lots of variation (structural and speed-wise), a grooving approach and a well-balanced mix / sound.

Despite quite enjoyable songs, I do miss an own face.

Well, actually, I think I’m ready… Cool stuff, but lacking of identity, persuasion, conviction. The result is way too predictable, and within the current scene one needs ‘more’… Nice try, but better next time, I hope…

Mindegy, nincs ezen mit okoskodni, most itt a For Thine Is the Kingdom, and the Power, and the Glory és ha minden így marad, akkor lesz vagy 12-14 évünk kiismerni és felkészülni egy esetleges harmadik kinyilatkoztatásra.
A bő öt perctől a tíz percesig terjedő dalhosszak is a régebbi Aeternus kibontogatós, dal-felépítős vonalát viszi, amit ha jól kezelnek én feltétlenül tudok szeretni. Kiegészítik, váltják, frissen tartják a másikat.
Összességében igazán jó lemez lett a For Thine Is the Kingdom, and the Power, and the Glory, ami telis tele van izgalmas témákkal, hangulatokkal és képes a ráhangolódás után egy teljes értékű éjfekete utazásban részesíteni.

Huh? French combo Necrocult apparently exists since 1997 and released their debut album in 2013 only to release a follow-up twelve years later. Active on the recording front is something that cannot be said about these gentlemen. With a band name such as Necrocult and ‘For Thine Is The Kingdom And The Power And The Glory’ as album title it is clear what sort of music to expect from the band. Indeed, black metal with quite a dose of death metal to it. Think of a more black metal oriented current Behemoth. Original? Far from it. I would even call it a dime a dozen. Tight and solidly executed? Yes. But it doesn’t grab you. Played the album? Immediately forgot the music.

Těžko říci, jak přesně dlouho trvala další tvůrčí přestávka, ovšem aktuální album „For Thine Is the Kingdom, and the Power, and the Glory“ se objevilo v éteru až v průběhu minulého roku.

Zamilovat se do old schoolu a drhnout to v tomto stylu hlava nehlava…

Het draagt de onmogelijk lange naam For Thine Is The Kingdom, And The Power, And The Glory, die ik nu dus niet meer ga noemen.

This French covenant was concluded already in 1994 as CRUCIFIX, celebrating a Thrash / Death solemnity. In 1997 they added a new member, who brought a second voice and more Black Metal influences into the project. Leading to a name change into: NECROCULT. They have yet released two full length records, in 2003 the self-titled “Necrocult” as well as the 2015 released “For Thine Is The Kingdom, And The Power, And The Glory”. Not much for 22 years of existence. But even more interesting when a band took their time and releases a record whenever they believe it's the right record and the right time. Which makes me look at it maybe a bit more critical because I want to understand what took them so long. By what I get, this record could have been easily released in 1994. The Black Metal elements are as raw and cold as the early Norwegian onslaughts. Bearing atmospheric and melodic elements fuse into a stream of discomfort. Enjoyable discomfort. Obscure and evil coldness is the striking framework on this release, in where mortal Death Metal elements indwell. The vocals switch or ally both ghastly, thin and guttural as well as deeply, spaciousness and monstrous. Harmonizing with each other perfectly. If one can call it that way. NECROCULT are mastering it excellent to blur the lines in between the pentacle where they raise this demon. The main reason is the organic sounding production. Unagitated leading drums, played by someone who knows when and when not to tighten the reins. Providing the guitars and vocals ample space to evolve entirely. This is what makes the record ripened and mature. With “For Thine Is The Kingdom, And The Power, And The Glory” NECROLUST spawn a malicious and highly entertaining record. Hopefully it doesn't take them too long for the next one.

Necrocult należy do tych drugich.

For Thine Is The Kingdom And The Power And The Glory jest ich drugim długograjem (i ogólnie wydawnictwem), zawiera czterdzieści minut muzyki, sześć utworów, a w świat rzuciły ją Satanath Records i Ira Militias Productions.

Też wkurwiony i też z blastami. Szczególnie Forbidden Heaven i In State Of Light.

In State Of Light najlepszym przykładem).

Jestem pewny, że każdy z nas już słyszał coś w stylu For Thine Is The Kingdom And The Power And The Glory.
