Grindcore is back at it's best as Belarusian quartet Exegutor smash all physical barriers in delivering their emphatic debut EP 'Dive Sessions', thunderous double kicks enrage the EP with slick speed and brutality and thus leaves the guitars and vocals to pick up the final pieces to deliver what is seen as Belarusian Metal album of the year. 'Dive Sessions' takes everything from the classic Grindcore sound and pounds it until the only trace left is the blurring of audio as one song merges neatly into the next, so if you want a fifteen minute audiobook, you need not to look any further beyond the 'Dive Sessions', of which is for fans of Fitcage, Suffocation, Deathbound and Anaal Nathrakh.

Одна из самых активных концертных команд сегодняшней бел-метал-сцены, EXEGUTOR не дают о себе забыть и студийно. Едва мы успели отпрыгать под полноформатный дебютник Cure For Dull, как группа записала свежий восьмипесенный мини-альбом Dive Sessions, включив в него новую версию трека «Alerta» (на текст, как ни странно, Маргариты Пушкиной), а также многое из того, что мы уже успели выучить в походах по столичным клубам: «Holiday In Fukushima», «Idiot Song», «Guerillia».
Тематика, как обычно, остросоциальна: об офисных крысах, иссохших в соцсетях и жаждущих убивать своих коллег по рабочим будням («Coffin Break») и о крысах, алчно поджидающих свою добычу в андеграундных тоннелях мира («Subway Rats»), о радиации и атомной угрозе («Holiday In Fukushima», «Atamnae Lajno») и о людском ничтожестве («Idiot Song») в вечной своей актуальности для истории человечества. Что-то с сарказмом, что-то с цинизмом, а что-то и с горечью.
По сравнению с дебютником атмосфера музыки EXEGUTOR, кажется, помрачнела и убруталилась — практически лишившись заводной грайндовой бесшабашности и панковского разгильдяйства. Dive Sessions звучит массированно-жестко (работа в студии, видно, была проведена с установкой «массовое уничтожение»), с ориентиром на дэз-грайндовые стандарты, агрессию и вынос мозга. Энергетика, напор, лаконичность — да, все фирменно и узнаваемо, однако настрой и подача релиза совершенно иные. Или же показалось? На самом деле — в лучших опять-таки традициях жанра — 8 песен пролетают так быстро, что осознать, что же это все-таки было, толком и не успеваешь. Так что для полноты впечатлений подождем второго лонгплея.

Mají za sebou debutní album (Cure for Dull, 2011) a mini CD Dive sessions, který teď poslouchám. Je to grindcore jak řemen: riffy jak Nasum (někde mezi Inhale/exhale a Human 2.0), zpěv jak Barney z Napalm Death a bicí jak starý Extreme noise Terror. To všechno s moderním zvukem, který vám album zatluče do hlavy na první poslech. Skvostnej monolit perfektní řemeslný práce. Nic míň, ale taky nic víc. Přesahy nečekejte, tohle je 100% grincore.

The scene from Belarus is not that ‘huge’ as the ones from neighbours Russia, Poland, Lithuania, Latvia or Ukraine. The Possession-label is a good example for nice material coming from that (contested) country (I would like to refer to the review on Šmiercieslaŭ’s album Cjomny Pryliŭ Razburennja / Ciemrazoŭ, posted on September 2nd). Other examples might be the reviews I did last year and in 2012 for acts like Zaklon (probably my favourite combo from this East-European state) (see update February 24th 2013) or Piarevaracien (29/08/2012).
Unlike these country-fellowmen, Exegutor, however, have nothing to do with Black or Folk / Pagan Metal. In 2011 they did release a first full length (Cure For Dull), and this mini was originally released in 2012, but still ‘hot’.
These guys bring a form of Traditional Grindcore, filled with blast beats, groovy riffs, a couple of Death Metal-laden technical structures, fucked-up Punk aggression, and no-nonsense Crust. What strikes me is the perfectly elaborated use of melodies, nicely contra-balancing to the aggressive eruptions of Hardcore-laden eruptions. Besides, despite the aural roots in the Old School scene, these eight tracks (which have a total running time on thirteen minutes) sound rather refreshing. This has to do as well, of course, with the great sound: massive, colossal, gargantuan! Each single piece is a nice example of how right-in-your-face Grindcore must sound. And it might be a narrow-minded vision, but I would have never thought such quality did exist in a country like Belarus. A very nice surprise!
Highly recommended for fans of, well, let’s say everything in between Napalm Death, Fitcage, Extreme Noise Terror, Nasum and Anaal Nathrakh.
