Four years after their second album, the Salvadoran band Conceived By Hate returns with another menacing and malignant full-length entitled Putrid Realms of the Occult. A nine-track release that’s as electrifying as it is monstrous, the album is now set for co-release on May 30th by Satanath Records (Russia) and Morbid Skull Records (El Salvador). Once again, the project’s mastermind Morbid is at the helm, performing guitars, bass, and vocals, and he is again joined by session drummer Iosif Najarro.
Having tweaked the production and growing even less tolerant of melody (and more focused on achieving a rabid sound), Conceived By Hate lashes together death metal, thrash, and black metal to create a musical juggernaut, but one that’s gruesome and horror-stricken as well as maniacally destructive. The song we’re premiering today, “Drowned In Tomb Mold“, is a riveting example of these features.
You’ll notice immediately the deep, dense, down-tuned, guitar tone, the kind of massive and mauling sound that’s gargantuan enough to liquify internal organs. But of course thats only part of the story. Within those titanic tones lurk a menacing, pulsating bass and rapidly slithering reptilian wisps of melody, and the grinding carnage also gives way to titanic moaning and stomping chords. The battering and clattering drumming keeps things moving at a fast pace, while Morbid’s black-metal shrieks are demonically deranged and seem on the verge of causing self-immolation.
After almost 3 minutes of marauding, the song dramatically slows into a ghoulish crawl, the putrid guitar vibrations leaving behind them a trail of slime and festering rot. After that dismal and disgusting interlude, the music leaps forward again into a fast gallop, with those big circle saw riffs cutting and grinding with a murderous relish.
DETAILS: The album’s closing track ”Cipreses Fúnebres” was composed in communion with Otreum of the Ecuadorian band Conjure. It was recorded by C.A. at DeadSign Rec Studio in Quito (Ecuador), and all percussions were recorded again by I.N. at Víspera Del Demonio Studio in San Salvador (El Salvador). It has been 4 years since Salvadoran extreme metal misanthropes Conceived by Hate released their sophomore record Death & Beyond. But during that time band founder Morbid has written compositions that perfectly embody that album’s title. The new songs on the project’s upcoming LP Putrid Realms of the Occult certainly entertain the brutal whims of death metal. But like mist spreading across a graveyard, Morbid’s riffs sprawl from death metal to blackened thrash and lethal sludge. Armed with session drummer Iosif Najarro to execute his savage rhythm-shifts, Morbid is about to unleash his strongest arsenal of songs yet. Several weeks before the album’s May 30th release from Satanath Records and Morbid Skull records, Conceived by Hate have released a moody video to accompany their second single (“Into Cemetery Fog”) exclusively at Decibel.
The introduction of “Into Cemetery Fog” creeps with melodic death/doom eeriness. Conceived by Hate then anchor the song with a grimy old school stomp as dark clouds loom above haunted woodlands. But around 2:35 the track explodes into blackened blasts and buzzsaw leads that race the devil. Before Morbid’s final snarl, the song should appeal to fans of Autopsy, Bolt Thrower and Aura Noir. Like those bands, Conceived by Hate are deadly whether playing on full-speed adrenaline or slowing the album down and sharpening their knives. In their first single “Drowned in Tomb Mold” they revealed a more primal assault. But “Into Cemetery Fog” offers fleeting reprieve with a doomy atmosphere that sets the stage for the song’s final fire-fingered acts of violence.

Völliges Neuland, in das mich meine Rezi jetzt führt, denn bewusst habe ich aus El Salvador noch nichts Todesmetallisches gehört. Als erstes kommen mir Sombreros, Strände und Gute-Laune-Musik in den Sinn. Aber schon die Recherche und meine Vorahnung zeigen, dass es sich musikalisch doch in eine ganz andere Richtung bewegt.
Zwei Longplayer, einer Demo, einer EP und mehreren Splits folgt nun der dritte Longplayer.
Schon mit Song eins ist es mit Gedanken an sonnige Gefilde vorbei. Der Schlagzeug-Sound und diese growligen rotzigen Vocals dazu bohren sich in mein black Heart.
Zwischendurch laufen mir dann die klaren Riffs und trägeren Passagen in die Gehörgänge und lassen mich in die Darkworld versinken.
„Into Cemetery Fog“ beginnt doomig und mit mehr Rhythmus, aber die eingängigen Vocals setzen erwartungsgemäß mit voller Breitseite ein. Diese Wechsel mit den rhythmischen Parts machen den Song bis jetzt zu meinem Favoriten.
„Corpsetellations“ wird zu Fave Nummer zwei.
„Cipreses Funebres“ (Tränen-Zypresse), der letzte Song, instrumental und mit mehr oder weniger landestypischen Klängen überrascht mich dann doch. Ein absoluter Stilbruch zu dem vorher Gehörten.
Somit am Ende angekommen kann ich nur sagen, played with passion und von mir mit Leidenschaft gehört.

Every four years they return to contaminate the humankind with the aural plague known as old-school death metal. This new record, their third full-length already, has a way more Swedish guitar sound and darker vibe as its predecessors. Moreover, it was also strongly influenced by doom metal bands of the most obscure origins. Somehow inevitably – Asphyx, Hypocrisy, Dissection, Grave, Cancer, Autopsy – these names popped up in my mind during the over forty minutes stuff. Let me tell you in short, "Putrid Realms of the Occult" is another great album by Conceived by Hate, which should not be treated as something unique or innovative at all, it's just a record that has definitely good and listenable music and was created in respect to the pioneers of the doom & death metal genres. There are nine crushing songs in total, which were recorded by the duo: Morbid (guitars, bass, vocals) & I.N. (drums), except for the acoustic piece "Cipreses Fúnebres" (it was recorded by C.A.). Killer back to the 90s death metal savagery!!!

Desde el Salvador llega esta banda de Death metal Conceived by Hate presentando su tercer trabajo "Pudrid Realms of the Occult", una vez más las bandas latinoamericanas sacuden cabezas y demuestran que en América también hay talento y trabajos que acaparan las miradas y lo que reclaman es apoyo en su pais de lo demás ellos se encargan.
Este proyecto en si esta integrado por Morbid (guitarras , bajo y voces), acompañado por Losif Najarro (batería de sesión), este trabajo tal parece que es el indicado por Morbid para "concebir" todo su talento y presentar un disco bien estructurado tanto en sus letras como en sus arreglos, dignos de escuchar esos guturales aguerridos, guitarras rasposas, batería estridente y hasta intros que si no son sublimes no dejan de gustar por su melodía áspera.
Parecerá exageración pero no, realmente están marcando ya su estilo propio de ejecutar Death metal de vieja escuela pero con adaptaciones muy actuales y de acorde a las ideas de este enigmático y aguerrido musico.
Con 9 cortes estridentes se compone esta obra que no dejara de retumbar en las neuronas para quienes somos aficionados y apasionados del buen Death metal.
"Nihilistic Ecstasy" abre como buen preámbulo a lo que será todo el disco, aunque me suena más black este inicio como para decirle no, tenebroso y buen comienzo.
"Drowned in Tomb Mold" lo dicho no midieron fuerzas para entregarnos temas con buena estructura, voces imperativas y desesperantes, cambios muy al estilo de este prolífico musico, la pesadez también se asoma.
Grito de protesta y guerra social "Centroamérica Bélica" en español, guturales ardidos , rasposos, pero muy audible, la batería marcando el ritmo, el nombre del tema lo dice todo: el Salvador clama justicia!, una de las favoritas.
"Into Cementery Fog" ritmo semilento creando una esfera de desesperación, odio, y buenos metales. Pinceladas de batacas.
"Oráculos del Tiempo" lo dicho la vieja escuela dejo grandes alumnos y en un descuido superan al maestro, otras de las que marcan el disco. Vaya con el baterista haciéndose muy presente.
"Corpstellations" si habría que decir si hay alguna más lenta, diríamos que esta, más sin embargo a media canción reclama lo suyo.
"Cabalistic Utter Obscurity" sobria muy al estilo black metal, pero sin llegar a lo perfecto, encaja en la secuencia, el estilo ya es muy característico a estas alturas con el vocal.
"En las Aguas del Súcubo" preparémonos para navegar por estas aguas, pesadez, densidad en la composición casi con toques DOOM, la voz marcando la pauta seguida por guitarra y batería veloz. Otras a la lista de favoritas.
Y cierra "Cipreses Fúnebres" instrumental solo puedo decir : estupenda! Compruébenlo.
Muy buen disco las vocales muy variantes y bien manejadas, canciones en español no es necesario decir cuales, excepto la ultima, las demás son en ingles. Reconocible el trabajo del baterista.
Puedes ser de acuerdo al gusto en tiempos venideros un disco de infaltable colección.
El Salvador también se oye.

С горячим инфернальным приветом – one man band из благословенного солнечного Сальвадора! Заведует данным проектом сеньор Морбид, он же M.Q., он же Хорхе Монтесино (Jorge Montesino, Disorder, Morbid Stench, Destroyer Attack, экс-Witchgöat, экс-Invocation Of Death). Ещё на предыдущем альбоме “Death & Beyond” (2016) с ним играли и другие музыканты, но к моменту записи последнего релиза Морбид по неизвестной причине остался в гордом одиночестве. Вообще, с альбомным форматом у группы как-то не складывалось: существуя с 2003 года, Conceived By Hate сподобились всего на три полноформатника (плюс четыре сплита и один ЕР). Стилистические рамки “Putrid Realms of the Occult” ограничиваются сырым подвальным – если даже не подземным – трэш-блэком с фрагментарным дэтовым влиянием. Естественно, всё обставлено максимально оккультно, ритуально и сумрачно – вокальные партии значатся как “vociferation”, музыка – “chords”, материал альбома обозначен словами “chants & manuscripts”, а снизошло всё это на Морбида в процессе кораблекрушения, приключившегося на хаотических планетах подсознания. Ну что ж, ясно-понятно. Для столь монотонного и однообразного материала 40-минутная длительность оказывается просто убийственной, ибо альбом получился очень неровный. Простецкие, но драйвовые риффы роняют песок, ритм постоянно спотыкается, отдельные интересные фрагменты смазываются излишне грязным саундом, а раздражающий сиплый полухарш-полускрим, от куплета к куплету орущий с одними и теми же интонациями, к концу диска начинает утомлять… А вот что получилось действительно отлично, так это само издание – впечатляющее лого, красивый буклет и обязательный пит-арт на рабочей поверхности диска. Материал на “Putrid Realms…” преимущественно скоростной – и это, кстати, печально, поскольку как раз среднетемповые или медленные фрагменты Морбиду удаются очень даже неплохо. В качестве примера можно привести один лучших номеров альбома “En Las Aguas Del Súcubo” c атмосферно-замогильным вступлением и неожиданно мелодичными гитарными проходами или тот же “Into Cemetery Fog”, удачно совместивший качающую, нагнетающую первую часть с трэшевым галопом второй. Вердикт – исключительно на любителя.

Death/thrashia melkein ruotsalaisittain, muttei kuitenkaan? Näin on marjat elsalvadorilaisen Conceived by Haten kohdalla.
El Salvador on piskuinen maa: pinta-alaltaan Keski-Amerikan pienin ja väkeäkin on vain hieman Suomea enemmän. Ei siis ihme, ettei maassa ole järin paljon tunnettuja metallibändejäkään. Metal Archivesin perusteella Suomeen verrattuna suorastaan häkellyttävän vähän: vain rapiat 160. Meillä on yli neljä tuhatta.
San Salvadorista pinnistää Jorge Montesinon eli nimimerkki MQ:n sooloprojekti, joka on tuupannut musaansa ulos vuodesta 2003 lähtien. Kolmas albumi, Putrid Realms of the Occult, ei ole lainkaan hassumpi viritys menevää death/thrash-poljentoa.
Huomattavasti vanhemmasta Disorder-yhtyeestä kannuksensa hankkinut Montesino on lainannut rääkyväiset laulusuoritukset lähinnä black metalin saralta. Muu myllytys on kuitenkin kaiken velkaa kahdelle muulle edellä mainitulle genrelle. Vaikka death metal -henkinen tulitus on kaiken pohjana, thrashin merkitys korostuu riffeissä ja tietynlaisessa poljennossa.
Soitto on usein aggressiivista ja nopeatempoista, kuten asiaan kuuluu. Väittäisin, että vastoin parempaa tietoa olisi helppoa uskoa yhtyeen olevan ruotsalaista alkuperää. Niin soundit kuin tyylitajukin ovat hyvin kohdillaan, joskin sitten omaperäisyyden kustannuksella. Putrid Realms of the Occult nimittäin kuulostaa paikoin häiritsevän tutulta, muttei sillä tavalla, että sormen saisi osoittamaan suoraan jotain tunnetumpaa nimeä.
Vaivattomasti kuunneltava levy ei niinkään loista yksittäisten riffien rintamalla kuin tunnelmallaan. Levystä ei jääkään mieleen voitokkaita biisejä, mitä voi pitää hienoisena harmina. Sitä MQ kuitenkin kompensoi maukkailla melodioilla ja toimivalla yleisilmeellä. Kyllähän Conceived by Hatea nyt loppuviimeksi kuitenkin ihan mielellään kuuntelee.

I rather enjoyed this band's last album, Death and Beyond, so I was happy to get a hold of a promo of their most recent outing. A lot has changed in the band since then, becoming vocalist/guitarist's Jorge Montesino's (aka. Morbid, or M.Q.) one-man band in 2018 and even using his native Spanish for the lyrics after the first two songs on here. This change has perhaps led him to adopt a more typical Black/Death sound for the project, which I think has made them a little less exciting overall. That's not to say this is bad, as this is a bloody love letter to Swedish Death Metal in the vein of Grave and Dismember complemented with Jorge's vile, Pete Helmkamp-esque blackened rasp, and this is an angry, brutal good time for the duration. Sadly, this has taken away some of the band's identity, as it doesn't have the surprising melodic edge their last one did and leans on more well-worn tropes than before without doing anything to really stand out in a crowded scene. Still, if you can't get enough plagiarism of '90s Swedish Death Metal, then this is worth sinking your teeth into.

30 мая 2020 года вышел третий полноформатный альбом Conceived By Hate - команды из Сальвадора. «Putrid Realms Of The Occult» - это совместный релиз питерского Satanath Records и Morbid Skull Records.
Данный диск создатель группы M.Q., уже известный по участию в таких проектах, как Destroyer Attack, Disorder, Morbid Stench, Invocation of Death и Witchgöat, записывал в одиночку. Он записал партии всех инструментов, за исключением ударных – на них играет Иосиф Наджарро (Morbid Stench и др).
Хорхе Монтесино основал коллектив Conceived By Hate в 2002 году в Сан-Сальвадоре (Центральная Америка), сразу после приостановки деятельности своего другого трэш-дэт-метал проекта Disorder. Изначально группа называлась Spiritual Demise, и в ее составе было несколько участников, но в 2018 году Morbid решил сократить штат, и остался только барабанщик.
Альбом получился весьма мрачным, но вряд ли можно было ожидать чего-то другого от блэк-дэта. Лирика, понятное дело, соотвествующая.
К саунду у меня нет никаких претензий – здесь все просто отлично.
Музыка, в целом, быстрая, жесткая, с цепляющими риффами, разнообразной структурой построения композиций и выразительным вокалом.
Но в то же время ей свойственна и мелодичность – в звучании явственно ощущается влияние шведской школы дэт-метала, в частности, группы Dismember.
Завершает пластинку очень красивый и грустный инструментал «Cipreses Fúnebres».
В общем, любителей экстремальных стилей метала этот альбом разочаровать не должен, хотя, честно признаюсь, предыдущая работа группы «Death & Beyond» мне понравилась немного больше. Но тут уж, как говорится, на вкус и цвет…

It took El Salvador’s quite well known Death / Thrash act CONCEIVED BY HATE about four years to come up with some new stuff to follow up their 2016 album “Death & Beyond”. Maybe it’s because they turned from a full band to a solo project of Morbid (or M.Q., as he was named before). And being involved in active bands like MORBID STENCH and DISORDER, a solo project might not be of top priority. But that’s idle speculation. The fact is: “Putrid Realms Of The Occult” is the third album from CONCEIVED BY HATE. And the question is: does the split with the other members leave any effect on the sound of the band? After listening to “Putrid Realms Of The Occult”, I tend to say: not really! The musical direction of CONCEIVED BY HATE has changed a bit, making them sound more Swedish than ever. The songs and riffs are based on the Death Metal sound that is so typical for this country. Just listen to the opening ‘Nihilistic Ecstasy’! But that’s not all there is to say about “Putrid Realms Of The Occult”, of course. Sometimes the Death / Thrash sound of the earlier days of CONCEIVED BY HATE shows through the brutal riffs and the d-beats of the drums. And in addition, there’s a very nice dose of doomy and low-paced grinding parts slowing down the massacre. The fine ‘Drowned In Tomb Mold’ or ‘Corpsetellations’ serve as good examples here. Sometimes a little bit of the Gothenburg school of Death and Black shines through as well, making “Putrid Realms Of The Occult” a pretty varied and diverting joy for all lovers of Death Metal. The vocal delivery of Morbid is fine as well, since he sounds like Martin van Drunen with a massive Black Metal touch. Fortunately Morbid didn’t make the mistake some other solo (or one man) projects did before, using a drum machine. Instead, former CONCEIVED BY HATE drummer V.K. did a very good job as a session drummer here. Thus I can only state here that “Putrid Realms Of The Occult” is of course not the most original album this year, but a more than solid Death Metal album all the way. Songs like ‘Into Cemetery Fog’ or ‘En Las Aguas Del Súcubo’ (to mention some other fine songs as well) should please anybody out there loving the genre.

“Putrid Realms of the Occult” by Conceived by Hate definitely delivers as much as its sick name. From sunny El Salvador this record carries the putrid spirit of the old school Death Metal realms. It has all – the groove, madness, hate, sick artwork and obscure song names.
The sound in this record is raw and alive. Predominantly death metal, it integrates elements of Black, Thrash and Doom metal sub-genres for that extra kick. The rhythm alternates between slow and rapid in each track, creating unique combinations of the groove and energy that are easy to get into. Kvlt vocals throughout – possessive growls with much dynamics and power. Gnarly fuzzed guitars, rhythmic and tight, vibe amazingly with the vibrant and facemelting drums.
Every track tells a morbid story, and a few to point out are: “Drowned in Tomb Mold” – saturated with the sweet agony of a torturous existence; “Into Cemetery Fog” – a tune that pours down onto the gloomy headstones awakening the dead with its diabolical groove; “En las aguasdel súcubo” – bone chilling and suspenseful, it unravels gradually as it traps your soul into a ghastly trance.
“Putrid Realms of the Occult” is a solid death metal record with very enjoyable tracks that spark imagination. Definitely recommended to the seekers of the old school Death Metal vibe, and everyone else looking for the quality headbanging soundtrack.

O duo Conceived By Hate do El Salvador está de volta após quatro anos de silêncio. Continuma a apostar num death metal blasfemo e com o pé sempre no acelerador. A reminiscência do black metal surge exclusivamente da voz de M.Q. enquanto o death metal arraçado da Suécia do início dos anos noventa faz o resto. Esta mistura dos dois mundos soa bem e faz com que este regresso de brutalidade unidimensional (mas dinâmica) surja com vontade de ter um bom impacto. E tem.
Pěkně se nám to latinskoamerické okénko na našem skromném webu rozrůstá. Původně jsem chtěl napsat jihoamerické, to by ovšem nebylo zcela přesné, El Salvador je jistojistě Amerika střední a právě odtud jsou CONCEIVED BY HATE, sympatická sebranka, které podobně jako mě učaroval starý zatuchlý a zatuchlý death metal, poctivě čpící po smrti a rozložené tkáni. CONCEIVED BY HATE i skutečně zní pěkně postaru, jejich zvuk je setsakramentsky prašivý a chorobný. Kytary chřestí, jako když se sypou hřebíky, rytmická sekce sympaticky postrádá současnou vyleštěnou čistotu ve prospěch organické přirozenosti a příjemně duní. Vokál je hozen více do výšek a více skřehotá jako zombie, která již dlouho nic nepapala. Stylovou kázeň podtrhuje převažující střední rychlost, čímž je všechen ten hřbitovní lomoz definitivně potvrzen jako vhodná duševní krmě pro všechny staromilce, kterým šmakuje death metalová základová deska, která se za tři dekády nemá k tomu, aby se začala minimálně zlehka drolit, a už vůbec ne se ani náznakem rozpadat.
CONCEIVED BY HATE se s tím opravdu příliš nepářou – death metal v této podobě jsem hltal (a po hektolitrech) během svých středoškolských studií a dodnes mám pro původní syrový binec slabost, pravidelně se k němu láskyplně vracím a znovu zažívám tytéž pocity, jako ve svých šestnácti letech. Extrémní vyjádření a pro mě stejně významná rebelská rovina a s tím spojené vymezení se vůči šedé konzumní mase (tenkrát jsem tomu říkal o poznání peprněji) funguje stále a docházím k závěru, že v mnoha ohledech jsem ve svých postojích radikálnější a v názorech pevnější než kdysi.
Podmanivý start „Nihilistic Ecstasy“ vyšperkovaný melodickou kytarou nenechá nikoho na pochybách, v jakých vodách se budeme pohybovat. Vzápětí se rozpoutá ukrutná old school režba vybičovaná rezavým zvukem a razantním rytmikou s dozvuky syrového thrash metalu. Citlivé střídání tempa vytváří přitažlivé pnutí uvnitř skladby, „Nihilistic Esctasy“ ještě nekončí a já mám jasno – nudit se určitě nebudu, jako by mi z hlavy mizely šedivé vlasy a na kalendáři se objevil rok 1991 (tak to už chci asi příliš). „Drowned In Tomb Mold“ se pouští s vervou do kulometné rychlosti, „nizozemský“ nátisk v duchu starých ASPHYX a PESTILENCE má úžasný náboj, chorobné riffování strhává vše v dosahu, jsem pohlcen a rozčtvrcen tou drtící silou, která ze skladby tryská. Nebyli by to Středoameričané, aby nedošlo na španělštinu – „Centroamérica Belica“ skáče z vysokorychlostního kulometu do střední rychlosti tam a zpět. Říkám si pro sebe, jak výrazně se latinskoamerický temperament projevuje v razanci metalových alb. Tímto tvrdím, že na „Putrid Realm Of Occult“ je to slyšet z každého taktu. „Into Cemetery Fog“ zpomaluje a dopřává prostoru funerální atmosféře, drtivá intenzita nepolevuje. Dochází na nápaditý sekaný riff v pochodovém tempu, přecházející do střední rychlosti přetahující se s krátkými utrarychlými výbuchy. Při vší té syrovosti CONCEIVED BY HATE nezapomínají na zajímavé okamžiky ve výstavbě skladeb, které udržují posluchače ve střehu, co přijde vzápětí – a to něco zpravidla vždy přichází. „Oráculos Del Tiempo“ je typická staromilská vyhlazovačka postavená na tradičním tempu, do popředí se větší míře tlačí výraznější melodika. S rezavým zvukem mají melodické prvky parádní tah, kdy nedochází ani na moment k nežádoucímu oslazení skladby. Úvod „Corpsetellations“ mi zlehka připomíná ranné PARADISE LOST, melodie kytar vykrucuje melodie v obdobném duchu, dokud nedojde k přepnutí na vyšší obrátky a dalšímu imaginárnímu výbuchu plynového granátu, který to zase srovná do latě. „Cabalistic Utter Obscurity“ – syrovina ořezaná na až ke kosti, maximum důrazu a devastující brutality staré školy death metalu, gradující k samému závěru, definitivně potvrzuje můj pocit z úvodu – „něco se tu děje“. Hlas démona z temných bažin, to je „En Las Aguas Del Súcubo“ - skoro black metalová atmosféra a příjemné zpestření v podobě nehorázného rachotu a výrazné melodiky kytar. A je tu závěr - „Cipresses Fúnebres“. Zasněná akustická instrumentálka, melancholicky evokuje poslední adresu všech před námi a jistě těch, co tam budou muset po nás. Ale to má čas, teďka si můžeme porochnit ve „Hnilobné říši okultismu“ bez rizika neblahých následků na zdraví!!!
No había tenido la oportunidad de escuchar con detenimiento está banda, la cual había pasado en frente de mi en varias oportunidades y fue esta vez que captó mi atención. Vaya sorpresa que me han causado estos salvadoreños, vamos por parte. En principio esto viene a hacer el tercer larga duración de Conceived By Hate "Putrid Realms Of The Occult", desde las primeras de cambio tiene todos los elementos importantes para enganchar, centrados en los dominios del Death Clásico o como prefieran llamar el old school, la corrosovidad y la podricion son los dos primeros ataques auditivos que nos regalan en primer término y como carta de presentación, las influencias del Death Metal Sueco son reveladoras pero en una dirección más brutal y justamente ese toque diferente o distintivo está en las voces, aunque a ratos parezca monótona a través del largo hilo conductor en todas las canciones te das cuenta que no es tan así y el resultado final lo podemos apreciar una vez escuchado el disco varias veces, letras que van del inglés al español, "Nihilistic Ecstasy", "Centroamérica Bélica", "Oráculos del Tiempo", "Cabbalistic Utter Obscurity" muestra las profundidades de un metal que no da tregua a la hora de presentar canciones con esencia e identidad propia, el álbum tiene casi todo lo que podríamos anhelar, canciones violentas, rápidas y otras no tanto junto a piezas algo más densas como "Las Aguas del Súcubo" o la acústica "Cipreses Funebres". La verdad me ha tomado por sorpresa esta gente, muy a tomar en cuenta de ahora en adelante y también aprovechar para revisar un poco más de su antigua discografía, Metal Centroamericano de alto nivel, muchas veces imitado pero jamás igualado.

Formados allá por el 2002 (con el nombre de Spiritual Demise), CONCEIVED BY HATE es un clásico ya en El Salvador siendo rama disgregada de la formación previa de Disorder, banda de Death/Thrash formados en 1994. A pesar de que Putrid Realms of the Occult es tan solo su tercer largo tras tantos años se trata de una banda conocida con bastantes Splits a sus espaldas y los consabidos cambios de formación que acaban dejando al grupo en la actualidad con la sola presencia de Morbid (Jorge Montesino) a la guitarra, bajo y voces con ayuda extra de Iosif Naharro a la percusión.
Amantes del Black Thrash de vieja escuela van a disfrutar de lo lindo con este Putrid Realms of the Occult, castañazo a toda velocidad que me recuerda a la banda de culto italiana Schizo aunque los puntitos blackers se asemejan a los dioses holandeses God Dethroned. Impresionante la calidad del sonido, obra y gracia de Víspera del Demonio Studio (El Salvador) bajo mezcla/masterización de Iosif en Reino Unido. La edición corre a cargo de Satanath Records y Morbid Skull, con artwork del propio Morbid.
Sin inventar la pólvora, en 40 minutos asistimos a un despliegue bestial de mala baba Black con esas característica fluidez que da la sencillez del buen Thrash. Voces rasgadas, cabalgadas de una más que bien medida batería y puntuales bajadas a tempos Doom que conectan el disco al viejo y pútrido Death Metal de finales de los 80. Como un filo romo pasan himnos como "Drowned y Tomb Mold", "Centroamérica Bélica", "Oráculo del Tiempo" o ese medio tiempo arrastrado de "Corpsetellations" (el mejor título de canción de lo que va de año).
Técnicamente no es un portento ni falta que le hace. El final del disco con la correosa "Cabalistic Utter Obscurity" enrevesada dentro de su velocidad y puntuada por unos medios tiempos fantásticos (la base rítmica se sale) contrasta con la excelente "En las Aguas del Súcubo", mitad Doom, mitad Death Sueco en un in crescendo de intensidad apabullante para cerrarse el disco con la acústica "Cipreses Fúnebres" que personalmente hubiera colocado al inicio del Tracklist.
Lo dicho, una grata sorpresa.

Starting off with the great song “Nihilistic Ecstasy”, you get a powerful intro that turns into pure Death Metal somewhat like Bolt Thrower, but once the unique vocals come in, the style quickly shifts into their Blackened Death Metal, the style which accompanies the rest of the album.
The voice is singular, being quite forced and giving an aggressivity of Black Thrash to the music. Accompanied by restless and maniac drums, the guitar is quite pure in its genre, often reminding of Marduk, Dark Funeral or other big names. Nevertheless, there are also pretty doomy parts, like in “Drowned in Tomb Mold”, which has hints of early Tiamat to the middle bit, and then you’ve also got “Centroamérica Bélica”, with the tapping so similar to Death. Every song is unique and yet they fit perfectly beside each other.
The extremeness of their genre doesn’t stop for a second until you reach the acoustic outro “Cipreses Fúnebres”, that has a gloomy elegance to it that is very similar to Katatonia’s “For Funerals To Come”. This song is excellent for an outro, and the fact that it’s the only calm part gives it a sort of magnificence to end the album that would have been lost if the rest of the album was weaker or less extreme.
This band is much more unique and original than any other Black Death band that may have currently been getting some attention that sounds the same as any other (take for instance most North-American bands that have recently appeared playing this genre). I definitely recommend checking out this album if you like Black Death Metal, you won’t regret it.

Downtuned and darkened one man Death Black Metal from Conceived by Hate is awaiting you on "Putrid Realms of the Occult".
Stomping d-beat brutal blasts along with shreddy, atmospheric guitars combined with screamy/barky vocals create this great hybrid of oldschool Black and Death Metal brutality but presented with a much more modern production and sound but never to clean to keep the rawness alive which is needed in my opinion for this kind of music.
Desperation and Disgust is feelable over the 9 tracks while being wrapped up into a darkened, atmospheric straitjacket.
Expect a cool mixture of old Dismember, Entombed combined with Dark Throne, Mayhem. At the same time modern Doomy Death from bands like Void Rot is feelable. All who love this kind of combining different aspects of darkened and depressive music should give it a try!
El sello ruso Satanath Records, en colaboración con la firma salvadoreña Morbid Skull Records, nos presenta el nuevo álbum de estudio de esta banda procedente de El Salvador que responde al nombre de CONCEIVED BY HATE. Un proyecto que comenzó allá por el año 2002 bajo el nombre de SPIRITUAL DEMISE, tras la disolución de otro grupo llamado DISORDER (que posteriormente recuperó la actividad), siendo en 2003 cuando se adopta el nombre actual e iniciando una trayectoria en la que encontramos una demo de 2005, un EP titulado “Witness of Decay” que vio la luz en 2009 y un par de álbumes como “Pestilence Reborn” y “Death & Beyond” de 2012 y 2016 respectivamente, además de varios splits junto a otras bandas. Por otro lado la alineación del grupo ha ido cambiando con el paso de los años, quedando actualmente con un solo miembro, Morbid (M.Q.), quien se encarga de todos los instrumentos, aunque para el nuevo trabajo ha contado con ayuda en la batería del ex miembro Iosif Najarro.
“Putrid Realms Of The Occult” es el título del tercer larga duración de CONCEIVED BY HATE, nueve cortes entre los que abunda un Black / Death Metal de vieja escuela realmente oscuro y violento en el que destaca la tarea vocal, con un registro desgarrado y relativamente agudo que puede recordar a los primeros DEATH tanto como a una banda de Black Metal, en contraste con ese fondo instrumental embrutecido que está más cercano a unos ENTOMBED o incluso AUTOPSY, sin olvidar cierta aureola oscura que rememora levemente a bandas como DISSECTION. En cualquier caso esto no son más que meras comparaciones para aproximarnos a lo que hay en el álbum, que en realidad tiene una personalidad que muestra un punto de vista propio dentro del Black / Death Metal, y que incluso cuenta con varios temas escritos en español, saliéndose de lo habitual dentro del género.
Como su propio nombre indica CONCEIVED BY HATE es una banda diseñada para el odio sonoro, por eso a lo largo de estos nueve cortes que componen no vas a encontrar espacio para el descanso, salvo en el tema que cierra el álbum, que lleva el título de “Cipreses Fúnebres” y es una instrumental compuesta por Otreum que invita a la introspección. En cualquier caso la brutalidad rápida y agresiva, junto con algunas partes más pesadas de distorsión sucia, es lo que predomina en el disco, siempre mirando a la vieja escuela y con un espíritu completamente underground que consigue ese feeling oscuro y malvado que el Black / Death Metal debería tener siempre, más allá de producciones inmaculadas o adornos superfluos. Además el álbum viene presentado con un magnífico artwork que ayuda a meterte en la atmósfera turbulenta de la música que contiene el trabajo.

Aujourd'hui, c'est une sortie en collaboration avec Morbid Skull Records dont nous allons parler, et c'est au Salvador (là où on en rit) que nous poserons nos valises avec un combo qui porte bien son nom Conceived By Hate tant le death metal rugueux et à l'ancienne qu'il nous propose est empli d'une haine qui tâche.
Neuf titres sont proposés dans une ambiance poisseuse mais néanmoins mélodique à souhait où l'ont sent aisément que les gaillards ont mis du death scandinave à l'ancienne à la Entombed, Dismember ou encore Grave.
On y retrouve ce son typique de gratte scandinave, le gras, le gros, le crasseux mais surtout le massif.
Car oui, à l'exception du morceau de fin « Cipreses Funebres » qui apaise les tensions sur un arpège très posé et mélodique, c'est une véritable chape de plomb qui immobilisera tous vos membres.
Les gutturalités sont assez axées black alors que les grattes vrombissent et tabassent avec lourdeur au gré de la rythmique qui elle non plus n'est pas en reste niveau dégommage de crâne.
Prenons « Centroamerica Bellica », l'un des 4 titres chantés en espagnol, on se prend une gifle sur tout le déroulement des opérations et l'on appréciera ce break hypnotique avec ces notes répétitives appuyées par des riffs plus costauds.
« Corpsetellations » plaira énormément aux fans d'old school, avec ce début death doom des familles puis cette mélodie qui transite régulièrement. Le morceau alterne entre ce passage doom bien lourd et un passage plus accéléré mais néanmoins encore très pesant qui serait également un bien bon déchaînement de moshpit.
Le combo n'invente peut être rien mais il propose une très belle lecture de son art sombre à souhait.

K.K.: Thrash/Death/Black Metal mit skandinavischem Einschlag aus El Salvador. Gefällt mir gut, obwohl man über die Länge des Albums mehr Ohrwürmer einbauen könnte.
M.K.: Für jemanden, der diesen dreckigen Sound überhaupt nicht auf einer Scheibe mag, war das doch eine sehr angenehme und runde Sache. Von wildem Gebolze bis hin zu Meloeinlagen auch einiges drin und dargeboten. Top.

Ужасающие новости из Сальвадора. Вышел третий полноформат столичной бригады CONCEIVED BY HATE. Издающий лейбл сообщает, что музыканты сыграли Old School Death/Black Metal – пластинку, которая пыхнула как тот огонек в ночи — то ли нелегальный спиртзавод взорвался, то ли местные группировки что-то не поделили...
CONCEIVED BY HATE существует с 2003 года, а еще ранее музыканты собирались под другими названиями. Сначала запустили демо и ЕР, а потом уже дошло дело до полноформата. Сабжевый - уже третий. А между первым и вторым… вышло четыре сплита с разными экстремальными северо- и южноамериканскими командами. Что является неплохим маркером — коллеги по цеху рады потестить свои трэки рядом с композициями CONCEIVED BY HATE.
О составе - через группу прошло более десятка человек (учитывая тех, кого приглашали для концертных выступлений). На первом диске отметилось 6 человек, на втором (выходил на Satanath Records) — пять, а вот на сабжевом - глава формации Morbid - Guitars, Bass, Vocals пригласил драммера Iosif Najarro. И так сработали альбом...
Очень уверенно сработали. Компакт начинается с полуминутного дум-дэтого раздумья(будто бы). Потому что никто не задумывался. Играть надо блэк-дэт, мрачный и даже хтонический: то ли только что выкопанный или наоборот - готовый погрузиться в земные глубины. Более 40 минут дуэт испытывает на прочность и сопротивляемость низким частотам несущие конструкции вашего здания. Инфранизкие здесь производят особую работу - давление на психику, раздражение тех центров в мозгу, которые отвечают за страх. Морбид знает, что делает, также знает, что это в кайф как дэтстерам, так и в целом меломанам, угорающим по экстремальной музыке.
Бас и гитара соединились в скребущем дуэте, дабы по звуку соответствовать самым совершенным механизмам преисподней, работающим на паровом двигателе. Это я к тому, что в среднем CONCEIVED BY HATE трудятся мид-темпо и быстрее. Пока не забыл: да, точно наш брутальный композитор иногда тоскует по дэт-думу, но так... кратковременно...
Про вокал. Morbid использует чаще всего трэшево-дэтовый харш, нервный, взвинченный и по хорошему среднечастотный - для разборчивости. Но все равно, мне кажется, без текстов не обойтись — 8-страничный буклет в помощь.
Я что еще заметил — архивы относят это произведение к Death/Thrash Metal. И в этом есть своя жестокая доля истины.
Тем не менее общая атмосфера компакта — гнетущая, терроризирующей и бомбящей безысходностью прямо веет с дорожек, как в мистическом триллере «Лимб». Только в нашем лимбе (месте для неприкаянных душ) с надписью на дверях CONCEIVED BY HATE ко всем прочим огорчениям еще очень шумно и жарко.

The mothers of these El Salvadorian boys must be either ashamed or angry at their boys. Oh well, how is the album? The band hails from halfway across the world, but they have the Swedeath sound of the Entombeds and Dismembers of the world down pat. The vocals are more banshee-like than the average Swedish band however. Moreover, these guys have skewed soloing in favour of added and deliberate distortion and noise. Yes, it is even crunchier than the average distorted death metal band. The band goes for the crunch especially during the slower passages like the one on Drowned In Tomb Mold. The group’s Achilles heel is the repetition. There are several times when the one particular riff is repeated over and over to the song’s detriment. There are slower and even acoustic interludes throughout, but the gist of this act is speedy underground noise-death and as if they recognize they have given the average Metallica/Madonna/Kanye fan a lot of heavy power they take time to make the album’s closer Cipreses Funebres a soothing and melodic acoustic outro. Well considered, boys.

Back in 2017 I was sent an album by a band that I knew nothing of. I even think it was my first El Salvadorian band. Knowing nothing about the band I didn’t know what to expect from them. But I gotta say that I was mightily impressed by what I heard back then. Old school death metal with a strong nod to the Swedish sound. When this new one dropped in on me I got my wishes set high. And I gotta say that this is blood beautiful old school death metal. There is a guitar sound on this album that cuts butter better than hot knifes. I completely love that barb wire guitar sound. This one is as impressive as that first one I heard. I’m in love.

New album of Conceived By Hate, which is the band that comes from a far away country called El Salvador, sounds quite familiar to my ears... They decided to tune their instruments so low that the guitar sound they received in result is so much the vein of Swedish death metal. They play very underground and raw version of this style that is comparable to bands like Carnage, Nihilist (pre Entombed band), Eteritus and such. Songs here are in slow-mid tempos with heavy guitar rhythms and just a few - dark, almost kind of gothic/death metal tunes on lead guitar. Music in those moments (Corpsetellations) has some creepy atmosphere from Left Hand Path or others albums, where latter, many bands followed up this musical path, massively. Album is also fast or very fast, you know, with blast beats and more brutal and vicious guitar play where everything sounds very bassy. Vocals are the only aspect in their music where tone frequencies go from low to higher, because a singer for the band is more extreme black metal type of front man.
Songs are chaotic at places, which is not as good as when pace is slower, but in every track, the band brought some ideas there into music, that from time to time got me hooked.
Surely, it is an old school album that musically is not a surprise by any meaning.I have been into “Swedish” sound since the beginning and I always find something in this music that interests me. . Putrid Realms Of The Occult does not sound like the album having super production quality, but songs, sort of sound dingy and dirtier by that, music even has some slight traces of madness gripping within.
This album is overall a solid piece of death metal. The other tracks that I like here are Nihilistic Ecstasy and a second song on track list. No highlight really, but good, regular album by Conceived By Hate.
What we have here is a band that has been smashing skulls since 2003. In the beginning, the band played melodic death/thrash with old-school tendencies, which was quite different from what is reflected here – their third and latest album called “Putrid Realms Of The Occult.”
There is a slight inclination towards black metal on this album, at least with the vocal parts and on opener, "Nihilistic Ecstasy," although it is true that on some songs the band opts for a style quite similar to what they were doing earlier in their career. The only original member left is Jorge Montesino (better known as Morbid) who has been with the band since its inception. Jorge is also responsible for the vocals, guitars, and bass for this production along with Iosif Najarro (drums) who formed part of Conceived By Hate from 2013 to 2018, but was invited as a session musician for this album. He is a renowned drummer in the Salvadoran scene for being involved with bands such as Disorder, Arcane, Invocation of Death, and Morbid Stench. Today Iosif is officially back in the band, and was part of the recent split with Chile’s Soulrot.
Morbid's screams on this album suggest that he was possessed by some demonic entity, as they are fierce and absolutely aggressive. The distortion of the guitars remind me of that classic Swedish sound. I even think that the influence towards this style is remarkable, since it has a bit of that melodic, melancholic vibe, which makes you feel like you’re in the middle of a desecrated graveyard. All songs are shrouded in a distinctly mournful and apocalyptic atmosphere. Something that I must criticize a bit is the lack of keyboards, since it was utilized more on previous recordings and gave the band more personality. Here they make up for it with the final theme of the album, which is a relaxing instrumental to subdue the fury that manifests throughout the album. Recommended!
