The band is formed by the ex-members of the most famous Bulgarian black/death metal bands DESOLATE (Vlad – guitars/vocals & Jafar - bass) and DEMONISM (Mephistophel – drums) at the end of the year 2001. In the beginning, they existed under the name DYSTOPY and three years later they changed it to SERPENTINE CREATION. This is not a secondary project! SERPENTINE CREATION is unique and independent band! 2009 is the year of their official debut album called ‘Dystopia’, containing nine hard, satanic orientated yet melodic black metal compositions. A few months later, the band made their first video on the instrumental song ‘Demonology’. ‘The Satanic trinity’ (as some journalists call them), managed to popularize and distribute the album very quickly, playing at many concerts with other Bulgarian bands like DREVNA, PRIMITIVE ANGEL GOSPODEN, DIMHOLT, DEMENZIA and taking part in some festivals. The two of their most important and unforgettable shows were at ‘Bloodfest II’ (Sofia, 2009) and the grandiose festival ‘Trash Till Death’ (Kavarna, 2009). At the first one they shared the stage with SEPTIC FLESH, INACTIVE MESSIAH, DIMLIGHT & W.E.B. and at the second one they were opening for the black metal titans – DIMMU BORGIR (of what turned out to be their last show with Mustis and Vortex ever). Meanwhile the band also worked on their second video of the title song of the album – ‘Dystopia’. The video promotion took place on 14th of September, 2009 when SERPENTINE CREATION played with CORPUS CHRISTII and SOMRAK at a memorable event with a great meaning for band’s history, gaining a lot of new fans for them. After that the band went on the march to popularize their black art out of the country and conquer the world of the international black metal scene! In January 2010 SERPENTINE CREATION participated in the Greek ‘Summon The Beast Festival’ along with the bands NAER MATARON, CORPUS CHRISTII and ATHOS at Thessaloniki. By the end of 2011 the band entered the studio to record new material, with a new member joined as a second guitarist - Gormoth Iscariot (ex- GORMOTH ISCARIOT, MORIA) as a second guitarist. Three songs from the new material saw the light of the day in July 2012, released in a split album with DEMONISM and ORK, entitled ‘Triptych’.
