Coldblood was forged in the underworld of Rio de Janeiro by Markus Couttinho (drums), Alan Silva (vox and guitar) and Vitor Esteves (bass) with the intention to make a sound based on the roots of Death Metal and the satanic doctrine. The first demo tape "Terror Stench", released in 1992, had a very good reception in the national scene, leading them to many live performances, which made the band one of the most important bands of the style in the early 90s. After a long pause due to internal problems, they got back together in 2000 to release their second demo "...and it comes the winter". The band kept working and in 2005 they released their third and fulminant demo "Reincarnating a New Black God". This demo had international recognition, getting the attention of a few renowned labels that showed interest in releasing a full length album. The chosen label to release it was Onslaught Rec from Mexico and, in 2007, the most anticipated debut album named "Under the Blade I Die" was released. To promote the material, the band made concerts in national territory with big names of the international scene, such as Master, Onslaught, Krisiun, Cannibal Corpse and also a South American tour visiting Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Bolivia. In 2012, to celebrate their 20th anniversary, the band released the EP "The Other Gods" including 5 new songs and their 3 first demos as a bonus. In order to promote the EP, the band made a few shows in Brazil, including a concert with Mayhem in São Paulo. In 2013, a new line up with Diego Mercadante, Artur Círio and with only one original member left, drummer Markus Couttinho, the band released their second album “Chronology of Satanic Eventes”, presenting a more aggressive, chaotic and extremely satanic material. In order to promote this second full-length album, the band did a second South American tour passing through Colombia, Ecuador and Peru. In Brazil, a national tour took place in 11 cities sharing stages with Funerus and Nervo Chaos and also concerts with Benediction, Master and Asphyx. Right now the band is preparing the release of their new full-length called "Indescribable Physiognomy of the Devil". The album, which was recorded in Brazil and mixed and mastered in Germany, has 10 new songs showing Coldblood with its feet even more nailed in the roots of the 90s Death Metal, but also adding its own identity in compositions that will surprise headbangers thirsty for an obscure, chaotic and traditional Death Metal.
