This review deals with last year’s split in between the Belgian act Scum Noise (not the Brazilian Hardcore / Crust / Punk-formation with the very same moniker), and U.K.-based Grindlover, which did release the album Deep Dives Into Holes Of Love on Symbol Of Domination Productions (which originates from Belarus, actually), a Satanath-sublabel, shortly before this split-album. Once again the release was strictly limited, but there are still some copies available… Contact the label now!

The split opens with five pieces by Scum Noise, and despite being from my home country, and despite being active for quite some time, I didn’t know their material. I am truly ashamed, for their discography seems to be enormously interesting (cf. Bandcamp and more resources). Their contribution on this split starts with a very grim introduction (Into The Void), mechanical and industrialised, and it does set the tone for what’s next to come. The other pieces can barely be called ‘songs’, for being a purely apocalyptic and anti-organic sonic expression of Chaos. It’s a totally raped interpretation of Black Metal, drenched in necrotic Death Industrial / Noise filth, and schizophrenic pseudo-cosmic-electronic aural ugliness (what’s in a name…). It’s like Aderlating, Zarach ‘Baal’ Tharagh, Enbilulugugal, Havohej and MZ.412 joining forces in order to create the most frenzy and psychopathic sonic expression of Evilness! 8,5/10

Next come Grindlover, a band that surprised me with their Deep Dives Into Holes Of Love-album (I got it from Aleksey of Satanath; once again, thanks my friend!). A track like, and enjoy those titles, Hurry Sex With Taxi Driver, combine soundtrack-stuff (not from a BBC-documentary, or a Christmas-movie) – based on the song title you might guess what to expect to hear – with muSICKal artistic expressions; or something that way… Gangbang Of A Classy Barely Legal Bitch is a short guitar-outlet, which actually isn’t that bad at all – little droning, yet a fine intermezzo! We Shot Porn Movie But Forgot To Record Video and Go Home Blonde You’re Drunk are weird, somewhat noisy aural escapes from normality. Highlight, or better, climax, must be Orgy, for being twenty five minutes of nothing but orgiastic moaning, haha, with some background voices / noises… And Ambient Experiment, finally, is a totally mad cacophony, indeed an ambient experiment. Oink?... Funny, but too exaggerated… 6/10

This is a review of a split album between Belgium's Scum Noise and the United Kingdom's Grindlover which was released in 2013 by Symbol Of Domination Productions and we will start off the review with Scum Noise a band that plays a mixture of black metal, grind, noise and ambient.

Their side of the split starts out with harsh noise sounds and chants are also used briefly and they also mix in a great amount of power electronics along with a touch of ambient and drone and on the second track a very powerful sounding bass guitar and high pitched black metal screams make their presence known and they also bring in programmed blast beats in certain sections of their songs, the production sounds very raw and lo-fi while the lyrics cover hateful themes.

In my opinion Scum Noise are a very great sounding mixture of black metal, grind, noise and ambient and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out t his band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "The Power Of Hatred" and "The Birth of hatred".

Next up is Grindlover a band that plays electro noise/grindcore.

Their side of the split starts out with porno samples that are also a huge part of their side of the recording and after awhile electro and heavy parts are added onto their side of the recording along with some programmed blast beats also being utilized at times and they also bring in a track that is 25 minutes in length and the music is more experimental than some of their other recordings, the production sounds very raw and heavy while the lyrics cover pornography themes.

In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from Grindlover and if you are a fan of grindcore, noise and experimental, you should check out their side of the split. RECOMMENDED TRACK "Hurry Sex With A Taxi Driver.

In conclusion I feel this is a very great sounding split and I would recommend it to fans of black metal, grind, noise and experimental.
