Turkish-German outfit Hatevömit have returned after a three-year hiatus. For those unfamiliar with the group, they play a particularly nasty style of old school blackened death metal or “vomit metal” as they call it. With several splits and an EP under their belt, they built a generous following with their raw and savage take on the genre.

But now fans can rejoice because they’re back, and they haven’t lost a single ounce of putrid brutality. With a new split with long-running Satanic death metal band Nunslaughter coming out soon as well as an EP coming out next year, the group has set itself up to once again be a formidable force in the extreme metal scene.

Today we’re excited to share one of the band’s contributions to the split with our readers. “Possessed Nightmares” is a brutifully menacing mid-tempo track oozing with black metal riffage and apocalyptic death metal and gives fans a taste of what they can expect from their upcoming release. And having gotten a chance to listen to one of Nunslaughter’s contributions as well, I can tell you that if you’re even remotely a fan of old school death metal, you do not want to miss out on this one.

Scroll down to listen to “Possessed Nightmares” and make sure you preorder the CD version which includes a four-page booklet and pit art. It’s limited to 500 copies, so better act fast.

This  is  a  review  of  a  split  ep  between  Turkey/Germany's  Hatevomit  and  U.S.A's  Nunslaughter  which  was  released  as  a  joint  effort  between  Grimm  Distribution  and  Metal  or  Die  Records  and  we  will  start  off  the  review  with  Hatevomit  who  return  with  their  mixture  of  war,  black  and  death  metal.

Their  side  of  the  split  starts  out  with  a  very  dark,  melodic  and  heavy  sound  while  the  vocals  also  add  in  a  decent  amount  of  bestial  growls.  A  small amount  of melody  can  also  be  heard  in  the  guitar  riffing  and  on  the  second  track  the  music  goes  into  more  of  a  faster  war/black  metal  direction.

During  the  faster  sections  of  the  music  a  decent  amount  of  tremolo  picking  and  blast  beats  can  be  heard  which  also  gives  the  song  more  of  a  raw  feeling.  Black  metal  screams  can  also  be  heard  briefly  along  with  the  music  also  adding  in  a  decent  mixture  of  slow,  mid  paced  and  fast  parts.  The  production  sounds  very  raw  and  heavy  while  the  lyrics  cover  anti  religion,  hate  and  destruction  themes.

In  my  opinion  this  is  another  great  sounding  recording  from  Hatevomit  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  war,  black  and  death  metal,  you  should  check  out  their  side  of  the  split.

Next  up  is  Nunslaughter  a  band  that  plays  an  old  school  form  of  death  metal  with  some  influences  of  black,  thrash  metal  and  punk.

Their  side  of  the  split  starts  out  with  some  fast  riffing  and  blast  beats  while  the  vocals  are  done  in  more  of  a  screaming  style  that  adds  in  touches  of  black metal.  a  lot  of  the  music  also  shows  roots  in  the  mid  80's  to  early  90's  era  of  death  and  thrash  metal  along  with  the  riffs  also  adding  in  a  small  amount  of  melody.

Throughout  their  side  of  the  recording  you  can  also  hear  a  decent  mixture  of  slow,  mid  paced  and  fast  parts  along  with  the  music also  capturing the  raw  energy  of  punk rock.  The  production  sounds  very  professional  while  the  lyrics  cover  satanism,  blasphemy,  anti  Christianity  and  Death  themes.

In  my  opinion  Nunslaughter  are  a  very  great  sounding  old  school  death  metal  band  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  this  musical  genre,  you  should  check  out  their  side  of  the  split.

In  conclusion  I  fell  this  is  a  very  great  sounding  split  and  I  would  recommend  it  to  all  fans  of  war,  black  and  old  school  death  metal.

Split z Hatevomit, o którym dziś mowa, to całe cztery kompozycje! Z młodzieńczą pasją, werwą i nieograniczoną niczym energią.

Well, a split in between NunSlaughter and Hatevömit, bringing Devil Metal and Vomit Metal respectively, that must be an ideal new year’s present for your grandma! Happy new year, grannie, enjoy…

This is a mini-release, with both bands coming up with two pisses, sorry, pieces, being released in an unholy congregation of Ukraine’s GrimmDistribution and Hungary’s Metal Ör Die Records. The cover artwork is quite, eh, specific, little controversial and explicit, but is does so intensively fit to the sonic terror and mental rape provided by both acts involved. And for your (futile) information: it is a jewel box compact disc release (besides digital) with four-page booklet.

The split opens with two lullabies by Turkish-German project Hatevömit, a sweet combo that started about a decade ago. They did several splits before (with the likes of e.g. Turkish act Rape or the Hellenic horde Ectoplasma), and it is sort of logical that they now team up with NunSlaughter. Both pieces were recorded over the past years (Terrorsound Studios) and were recorded by main members Damnare and U.N.T. with assistance of some guest / session musicians / vocalists.

Possessed Nightmares is a bestial track, filthy, morbid and malignant, and with its slow-tuned tempo, it sounds macabre and funereal too. For some reason, it reminds me of the unholy bastard child of, let’s say, Autopsy and Goatlord, drenched in a blackened juice of Incantation / Ævangelist alike supremacy. NecroFuture is remarkably harsher, like an overwhelming sonic attack that destroys your eardrums as well as your mental sanity. Although, being ‘fan’ of this kind of aural frenzy can’t be related to psychic wellness, evidently. This rageful and vengeful second piece (both of them clock about three minutes and a half, by the way) chops and destroys, mercilessly and happily violently.

The drum patterns are somewhat right-in-the-face, with that typifying hard-hitting tempo, but it fits, for progressive beats would destroy the hateful character. The whole string section is massive, like a wall of noise (no HNW, of course), and it might seem somewhat under-produced and under-mixed. Some might call it a shame, a missed chance, others may understand the underlying f*ck-you attitude too. And especially within the second track, there is some weird mesmerizing thing going on once in a while. And then those grunts, deep, blood-vomiting, bestial…

NunSlaughter do not need any introduction either, I think. As one of the most productive bands on our oh so beautiful planet, Don of the Dead and his crew did tens of splits before. Indeed it got time to join forces with Hatevömit to spread their mutual message of eternal love and peace… Both tracks on this compilation were recorded at the end of February 2017 with a new drummer (because original skin-molester Jim Sadist passed away a couple of years ago; may he rest in pieces, eh, peace…).

Fuck The Bastards and Satanic Slut are shorter hymns (01:46 and 02:12 respectively), but the message is clear: NunSlaughter are here to entertain you! When listening to these two compositions, a stench of sulphur spontaneously appears, and I am quite sure that the priest from the church in my small local village gets haunted by inner demons right now. Anyway, it is remarkable that this band is able to combine melody and malignancy so easily, without exaggeration (though…) or without losing itself in fakeness or clichés.

Striking is the overwhelming sound quality. No, the band did not turn mainstream, for the whole still exhales that dirty, rusty production sound. But the mix is truly, well, top-balanced, focusing on a perfect equilibrium of all individual ingredients. And the Devil saw that it was good…

Vomit Metal. Devil Metal. Whatever Metal. Metal forever (ör die…)!

The split CD is kicking off with an extremely morose and melancholic track by the Turkish/German trio – Hatevömit. It is called "Possessed Nightmares". This song emits a monotonous, immersive and somewhat ominous tone. The second track "Necro Future" is a bit more energetic and varied, however the vocal themes remain in the well-established sinister formula. The dedicated fanatics of the obscure black/death metal movement will praise their cuts with ease!!! The other two songs on the split are hailing from the cultic American Nunslaughter. These four hellboys know exactly how to create the best mix out of their blasphemous thrash-incited death metal. Both of their anthems, "Fuck the Bastard" and "Satanic Slut", are about pure fucking awesomeness. Their music is enough dynamic, ripping the old-school way, filled with great hooks and, of course, is here to blaspheme all that is holy!!! Needless to say, the cover perfectly captured the current religious situation around the world. Kind of collector's item is this, even if it was limited to 500 copies, so if you're claiming to be a diehard maniac of any of these bands, then don't waste your time, rather order it!!!

Hatevomit from Turkey / Germany are present on this split with 2 tracks which sounds like very raw Death Metal. For me it is my first encounter with this band and besides the guys behind Hatevomit are from different countries they also are or were involved in bands like Baphomilitia, Mictian, Demonslut and The Upheaval. The band is all about mid-tempo Death Metal with some fast parts and it even remembers me of Nunslaughter, which is the other band on this split, because of the composing simplicity. It shows that it is a band that is still progressing on its musical level and we will get a good debut album in the future, although I guess it should be not easy to rehearse living in different countries

On the other side we have one of the oldest active Death Metal bands on earth; Nunslaughter! They have only 1 founder member remaining (Don of the Dead) but they are still raging Metal with most fury on each record. They offer versions of “Fuck the bastard” and their classic “Satanic Slut” with alternate recording for this split.

If you are looking for some raw and spontaneous Death Metal recordings this is what you need for sure.

Командующий инфернальным парадом - Don of the Dead - Bass, Vocals (с 1987 года). Играл и играет в Nighnacht, Tondra, ex-Born from Fear, ex-Death Sentence, Flap Jack, Satanic Threat, ex-Gravewurm, ex-Derketa (live).

Careless studio production, sound that carriers dark and obscure music sensations, monotonic drum beats, old school death metal vocals that remind some 90`s bands from their demo tapes, down tuned guitars that create creepy night atmosphere. All of these come from the band Hatevömit (Ger/Tur). I like better their slower track Possessed Nightmares. Necro Future is faster and chaotic but they managed.

Nunslaughter (US) is better known band in the underground and more experienced when comes to realization of the sound that they want to have. You can hear it in those 2 tracks that both had been produced hellishly and without compromising dirtiness of sound.

It`s old school, blasphemous death metal with rusty and very energetic riffs that sound very bad ass. If first track-Fuck The Bastard won`t make you interested in the band yet, the second one will make you horny, without a doubt. Satanic Slut is the best song of this split EP which has a dirty-hot lyrics and primal death metal vibe. It`s just perfect song of Nunslaughter and an example of how you should play old sounding metal and get laid. Vocals sound totally possessed! So, hell yeah... Check these bands out.

This is a small split between the relatively young Turkish Black/Death act Hatevömit and U.S. Death Metal legends Nunslaughter, the latter of which has a discography vast enough to make you reconsider having a physical collection.

Hatevömit begins the proceedings with "Possessed Nightmare", a mid-paced number with some keyboard sections to add atmosphere. It's an alright song, but the primal and aggressive "Necro Future" is much better, able to create a menacing and vile atmosphere without the need for trivial things like melody. Both songs are solid examples of Blackened Death Metal nonetheless, making them worthy to stand alongside the likes of Nunslaughter.

Speaking of which, Nunslaughter round out the rest of the split with a re-recorded version of "Fuck the Bastards", which has updated the song into as vile a display of thunderous Black/Death as you can get, and "Satanic Slut", which is more of the faceripping you've come to expect from the band. Nunslaughter are Nunslaughter, nothing more, nothing less, just good old-school carnage and blasphemy that's never less than entertaining to listen to.

Overall, a solid split of raw power and energy from old and new bands alike. Let evil prevail.

This is a short four-track disc featuring a Turkish and an American band sharing the disc equally. The music is great and worth hearing for underground black/death metal bands, but the release has more value than the music alone.

Musically, the Turkish duo specializes in the type of pounding death that fans of Asphyx or Autopsy likely enjoy. The deep growls sit atop of a ritualistic battering ram. The band does speed up on Necro Future, which sounds promising. Nunslaughter picks up the speed on its Fuck The Bastard track. The vocals are hoarse and bestial. Satanic Slut ends the album with a track Nunslaughter fans have surely heard before by now. The riffing is superior and has a crushing blow to it. Too bad about the drum production however.

The album’s insert features lyrics by Nunslaughter, but none by Hatevömit. It is not that the Turks are worried about offending that country’s religious government or sensibilities. Look at the drenched in red cover artwork. It features two Baphometic goats – one representing Hatevömit and the other Nunslaugther – with knives to the throats of a Christian monk and a Muslim Imam.

This cannot end well, after all it is a necro future, but then again it might. To verify hit replay on the CD player.

I have been aware of the name NUNSLAUGHTER for a very long time now. And with a discography as long as my arm that dates back to 1987 it is a feat not to have heard a single track with them. But that is about to change with this split with HATEVOMIT. There are only 4 tracks on this split and with a playing time of just over 11 minutes it is not much music we get for the buck. HATEVÖMIT starts the affair with a really heavy death metal track. They pick up the pace with their second track but it is still heavy. I cannot say that these two tracks convinced me to go out and look for their discography. The two NUNSLAUGHTER tracks are short and to the point with more of a deathrash vibe. This on the other hand appealed to me. I can see why people like this band. I will not start tracking down everything that they have released because my wallet isn’t that big but I am going to track down the latest record by them.
