While most Central and South American bands make death metal that is often blackened and bestial, Venezuelan entity Evil Reborn take the genre back to its roots. On their debut full length ‘Throne of Insanity’, which is set to be released on Satanath Records, this five piece plays pulverizing death metal that is thrashy and unforgiving in its assault. Packed with addictive riffs, this album comes as a treat to anyone looking for some down to earth death metal action.
While most of the tracks are straight forward death metal numbers, Evil Reborn does not hesitate to show off for a little bit. This is accomplished for the most part in the form of solos and a bit of technicality in the song writing. This technicality is observed more in the bass work that often jumps to the forefront. Evil Reborn’s tracks pack a vicious bite and for mosh enthusiasts, this album provides plenty of opportunities to get rowdy.
As ‘Throne of Insanity’ gears up for release on 17th May 2016 through Satanath Records, we have an exclusive sneak peak into Evil Reborn’s debut. What better way to gauge a band’s sound than to check out the band’s eponymous track. On Evil Reborn, the band begins the proceedings on a high energy note with a raging thrash death riff, intense drumming and the sustained growls of the vocalist. The track settles into an infectious groove that will have the listener doing whirlwinds. There is also an example to the aforementioned technicality, as complex bass lines make their presence known during the stop breaks, before a short simple solo brings the track to a grand finish.

En los últimos años se ha diseminado a nivel mundial una ola de fanáticos y bandas de Death Metal técnico con marcada influencia de Death (muy especialmente desde el “Human” hacia adelante), pero aderezada con los sonidos tipo Vader (posterior al “Litany”) así como de ese cúmulo de bandas técnicas popularizadas hace poco más de una década (Obscura, Fallujah, The Faceless, todas, influenciadas en mayor o menor medida por Necrophagist), que se han ganado un puesto en la escena musical mundial, lo cual es digno de respeto.
Si alguien escuchó Death Metal durante la década de los 90, jamás imaginaría que en pleno año 2016 este género estaría siendo aclamado por sus cualidades técnicas. Pero, vale destacar, que el aspecto negativo de esa evolución es haber olvidado, lamentablemente, muchísimas raíces del Death Metal. En ese sentido, actualmente puedes ser un fanático acérrimo del Death Metal sin haber escuchado jamás el “Cause of Death” de Obituary, el “Scream Bloody Gore” de Death (sí, porque a la farándula sólo le gusta “Crystal Mountain” y “Lack of Comprehension”) o el “Onward to Golgotha” de Incantation, entre otras obras de arte que han servido de base para todo este movimiento. Esto equivaldría a ser “thrashero” escuchando actualmente Havok, Warbringer o Lazarus A.D y todos esos grupos similares sin ni siquiera conocer el “Season in the Abyss” de Slayer, “Ride The Lightning” de Metallica o “The Force” de Onslaught.
¿A qué se debe esta pequeña introducción? Simple: La banda a cuya reseña se contraen las presentes líneas ha sabido respetar y rescatar el sonido propio del Death Metal clásico, ese que tenía más “feeling” que blastbeats a granel, que constantemente se hace acompañar de partes densas y que, aún teniendo una marcada influencia de Vader, no se circunscriben a eso, pues suelen transmitir diversas sensaciones basándose en sonidos ya casi considerados arcaicos; en “Throne of Insanity” deleitarás unas influencias de la vieja escuela producidos con un sonido mucho más trabajado (al fin y al cabo estamos en 2016), pues Evil Reborn es eso y más, ya que sin encapsularse en una determinada influencia, saben mezclar a la perfección todo un recorrido musical de casi tres décadas de música extrema, tomando en cuenta, insisto, esas raíces ya parcialmente olvidadas.
Este “Throne Of Insanity” configura un avance indiscutible en lo que metal hecho en Latinoamérica se refiere, pues viene a representar el desarrollo de la música extrema en una pequeña ciudad del oriente de un país latinoamericano que está más acostumbrado a hablar del Metal que a apoyarlo. Evil Reborn en “Throne of Insanity” ha sabido desarrollar su talento de manera incólume: Riffs que se destacan y marcan la pauta, caracterizándose principalmente por su versatilidad, su no encasillamiento y por no copiar descaradamente a ninguna banda en particular, aún cuando en determinados momentos recuerdan el trabajo de melodías a los que nos tiene acostumbrado Avulsed, además de una constante evocación a Vader, todo sin perder la personalidad propia. Este disco contiene un trabajo vocal de primera categoría, sin que ello signifique la práctica monótona de voces guturales o gorrinas propias más bien del Brutal Death y el Slam. Victor Chaparro, su vocalista, ejecuta un trabajo impecable, con excelentes guturales que dejan un notable parecido (salvado las diferencias, obviamente) con los de Frank Mullen de Suffocation, y alguna que otra evocación a Peter Tatgren de Hypocrisy. Otro punto a favor del trabajo vocal es la claridad en la pronunciación, al punto de que puedes entender lo que canta, tanto en los temas en inglés como los temas en español, lo que representa, sin dudas, una gran virtud que a veces ni siquiera observamos en bandas de renombre mundial.
El bajo cumple a cabalidad el compromiso de seguir la gran destreza en las guitarras, además de sonar muy bien, gracias a la respetable producción musical de este trabajo, percibiéndose de modo claro y palpable. Sobre la batería debemos destacar algo concatenado, si se quiere, con la reflexión esbozada en las primeras líneas de esta reseña, y es que el trabajo en los parches está muy bien acoplado al resto del trabajo instrumental, sin “abusar” de blastbeats. ¿Y por qué digo “abusar”? Pues simplemente porque actualmente las bandas se esfuerzan en sonar más rápidos que otra cosa, dejando a un lado otros aspectos musicales. En la historia de la música extrema tenemos discos enteros de bandas legendarias que no tienen blastbeats; así, podríamos mencionar toda la discografía de Death y Obituary, que jamás usaron blastbeats, además del célebre “Dawn of Possession” de Immolation, por sólo nombrar algunos. Y no pretendo escuchar Death Metal sin blastbeats, sino que es preferible escucharlos bien administrados, tal como lo hace Anders Schultz en Unleashed, por solo citar un ejemplo. La batería suena ideal en “Throne of Insanity”, y se acompaña de una ejecución instrumental casi perfecta que denota un compromiso de personas jóvenes que se han asumido como profesionales y se tomaron muy en serio esto de hacer Death Metal. Otro aspecto importantísimo a resaltar es la excelente portada del disco, que va acorde con el nombre de este álbum, además de darnos una idea del contenido musical del trabajo en referencia.
Lo mejor del disco, aparte de su producción, es haber mezclado diversas tendencias del Death Metal, rescatando influencias que muchos pretenden olvidar y, simultáneamente, sonar limpios, frescos, actuales, sin colindar con la superficialidad propia de los sonidos modernos que hoy se disfrazan de Death Metal. Temas a resaltar, pues todos, pero con una milimétrica preeminencia de “Possesssed Angels”, “Black Dahlia”, “Destroying the Trinity” y “Bendita Malevolencia”. En definitiva, un gran trabajo musical, que significa el disco debut de una excelente banda latinoamericana que nada tiene que envidiar a bandas de mucha más experiencia, y que seguramente con este honorable trabajo empezará, muy justificadamente, a ser conocida y respetada en otras latitudes lejanas

Si torna in Sudamerica, precisamente in Venezuela, per incontrare gli Evil Reborn, giovane quintetto che per Satanath Records licenzia il suo primo full length, questo devastante e ben fatto Throne of Insanity.
Il gruppo, attivo da quattro anni ha alle spalle un ep d’esordio, uscito tre anni fa (Bendita Malevolencia) che gli valse il Premio Melomaniac come miglior ep del 2013, dunque una realtà assolutamente ben vista nella scena underground del suo paese.
In effetti Throne Of Insanity conferma la buona proposta dei ragazzi di Maturín, il loro death metal old school è quanto di più evil e feroce si possa desiderare, non uscendo dai confini classici del genere, con buona padronanza dei ferri del mestiere e soprattutto un ottimo uso delle vocals estreme che si alternano sul massacro sonoro proposto tra profondo growl ed efferato scream.
Una mezzoretta di potenza death allo stato puro, senza andare troppo per il sottile, ma sicuramente divertendo il fan del genere, con blast beat a manetta, dosi di potenti mid tempo, ed impatto folgorante.
Palla lunga e pedalare, gli Evil Reborn non lavorano di fino ma ci travolgono con il loro death debitore della vecchia scuola tra Bay Area e coste nordiche, la produzione rende sufficientemente giustizia ai brani ed il tutto funziona a dovere senza sorprendere più di tanto.
Unico difetto, infatti, risulta un songwriting leggermente monocorde, per molti una virtù, così che Throne Of Insanity ne esce come un monolite pesantissimo di metallo estremo, che non mancherà di far alzare le orecchie dei true deathsters in giro per il pianeta.
Album da ascoltare e valutare nella sua interezza, il primo lavoro sulla lunga distanza del gruppo venezuelano raggiunge la promozione senza fatica, ed è consigliato agli amanti del genere.

Venezuelan death metal band Evil Reborn have probably released the best meat and potatoes death metal album of the year. Fans of pummeling, catchy and extremely rifftastic death metal are going to eat out of their hands. This is comparable to all the 'cool' death metal bands that you grew up listening to, except that this isn't shamelessly old school and is even semi-technical to an extent. It's perfect, in other words, without veering too far into the progressive or brutal regions. Sinister, Malevolent Creation, Deicide, Monstrosity and Cannibal Corpse are all bands that come to mind when listening to Evil Reborn but they're not directly derivative to any - they just keep innovating using the best kind of ingredients. The songs on this debut full length are seriously engrossing to the extent that you lose track of time and even reality. It's just shocking to come across death metal that's so pure in essence and of the kind that just leaps at you and grabs you by the throat from the moment you press play. This bodes tremendously well for the future of death metal from Venezuela. It's masterfully done.

Evil Reborn are a band from Venezuela that plays an old school form of death metal and this is a review of their 2016 album "Throne Of Insanity" which will be released on May 17th as a joint effort between Satanath Records and Evil's Records.
Synths and spoken word samples start off the album and after a few seconds the music goes into a heavier direction w here you can hear all of the musical instruments that are present on the recording and the riffs also bring in melodies at times and the vocals are mostly deep death metal growls with some high pitched screams.
When the music speeds up a great amount of blast beats can be heard and the solos and leads also remain true to an old school style of death metal while also being melodic a t the same time and the songs also bring in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts and while the music is very heavily rooted in the 90's the way the songs are produced it gives the recording more of a modern feeling and the whole album also remains very heavy from beginning to ending of the recording.
Evil Reborn plays a style of death metal t hat is very old school and rooted in the 90's while also mixing it in with some more modern sounding elements, the p0roduction sounds very professional while the lyrics cover violence, horror, anti religion and death themes and soem lyrics are also written in Spanish.
In my opinion Evil Reborn are a very great sounding death metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Evil Reborn" "Possessed Angels" "Destroying The Trinity" and "Night Killer".

And here’s some death metal from Venezuela. Once again, fairly old school, but with more speed and a vague (but not so far as to be annoying) “technical” orientation.
The fact that the promo materials namecheck Monstrosity and Sinister should tell you something. It’s likeable enough and like many retro-DM bands this month, feels reasonably authentic (despite the overly modern and clean ProTools production in this case, which undermines that feeling somewhat)…but they aren’t exactly shooting for the moon here.
Decent enough, but there were much better and far more beloved bands to draw from stylistically.
No real complaints otherwise.
Cuando trascurren estos tiempos y en años anteriores algunas nuevas tendencias no eran bien aceptadas por aquellos que nacimos escuchando la genesis del metal extremo indiferentemente que este sea, no hace mucho me había costado enormemente aceptar y no solo aceptar sino adaptarme a ciertos sonidos y expresiones de estos tiempos sabiendo que mucho de estas influencias se deben a bandas tambien que ya tienen un estatus dentro del mundial caso tipo Suffocation, Pyrexia, Internal Bleeding, Cannibal Corpse, entre otras por solo mencionar algunas, de ellas fueron parte influyente de una corriente dentro del death metal específicamente parte renovada de esta y un cierto aire fresco dentro del genero madre, a muchos nos sigue costando asimilar, particularmente aun en algunos casos soy receloso y bastante cauteloso al respecto, aspectos generacionales pueden justificarlo, pero no me cierro a escuchar una sola tendencia y siempre urgando que pueden mostrar una u otra banda con la que me puedo topar por diversas las causas que sean y las circunstancias, el caso en cuestión es este. Evil Reborn, son de Maturin (Venezuela), su disco debut titulado "Throne of Insanity", editado entre Evil`s Records y Satanath Records de forma conjunta, una modalidad que últimamente viene tomando de nuevo un cierto repunte donde se ven involucrados sellos europeos y latinoamericanos respectivamente. El cd de buenas a primeras capto, el excelente sonido que emana, es la primera impresión y también sorpresa, luego a medida que van pasando los temas es evidente la influencia de los nuevos estilos de metal, empezando en algunas canciones las voces en plan gorrino que bien desarrollaron y perfeccionaron los colombianos comenzando este lustro en el calendario, para ser mas específicos finales de los noventa con Purulent y principios de dos mil, con Amputated Genitales, Suppuration, Carnivore Diprosopus, los mismísimos Internal Suffering de alguna forma y una buena cantidad de bandas que hicieron del grind core y el slam mas violento y latinoamericano, a la par de Norteamerica, así pues, growls bien apuntando hacia esos lados junto con entonaciones clásicas dm, las guitarras suenan bien afiladas, un balance perfecto en distorcion, se denota un excelso trabajo de composicion, sin ser muy complicadas ni básicas, de alguna forma son las que le dan el peso a todo el disco, principalmente combinando brutalidad y melodía, el bajo hace también una participación bastante notable en varios pasajes y la batería hace el trabajo medido pero con el suficiente engranaje para que todo suene bien gordo, la producción es excelente y es una de las referencias mas notables para apreciar. Puede que el disco pueda parecerte algo corto, todos los tracks son buenos y parece no destacarse una por otra, con artwork de John Quevedo Janssens (Baphomet, Nocturnal Hollow, Scythe), un buen disco tanto para oídos añejos, contemporáneos y los que apenas están conociendo este mundo también es valido.

Олдовоый, в меру злобный и достаточно техничный материал в этом году выдали венесуэльцы. Стандартно трэш-детовый набор с большим количеством злобно-мелодичных риффов с легкостью уносит в начало 00-х. Пусть без всякой какой-то особой оригинальности, но тем не менее энергично и совершенно не напрягающе.
Группа больше держит ориентир на флоридскую школу, как мне кажется. На альбоме запросто можно услышать отголоски Cannibal Corpse или Acheron. Среднетемповые ритмы и грувовые риффы очень быстро сменяются трэшевой подхалимкой с воспламеняющимися соляками. Подобным музыка как бы погружает в атмосферность хоррора, но структура очень часто меняется, словно кто-то перелистывает страницы кровавого американского комикса. Одиноко дребезжащий бас на заднем фоне, словно монотонный шуруповерт, не спеша впиливается в мозг, но иногда выдавая что-то свое в виде подцепок и слэповых фишек.
Учитывая технику игры и солдатскую четкость исполнения, музыканты очень серьезно отнеслись к своему делу, за что хвала им и горы добрых слов. Не отходя от канонов жанра, раскрывая всю суть дэта старой школы, мужички тем не менее также не поскупились на использование экспериментов, местами выкидывая что-то из репертуара Aborted и Origin, добавляя этим хорошую приправу из прогрессивности. Но в целом данные налеты вполне заслуженно вписываются в общую концептуальность музыки. Постарался и вокалист, сумевший без всяких компрессоров исполнить свои партии разнообразно, сочно и очень эмоционально.
Как же хорошо, что андеграунд в последнее время имеет столь массовый подъем, выдавая очень достойный материал оттуда, откуда никогда не ждешь. От Венесуэлы я такого просто не ожидал!

Evil Reborn is a Venezuelan death metal band formed in 2012, with an EP behind them, this is their first full length album, and it’s fair to say it’s a killing machine of near death perfection. Taking all the charms and evil sounds from the classics, Evil Reborn could have easily formed in Florida, , but it’s not all hero worship, there are some modern death metal influences added for good measure and some nods to Swedish old school, but more so in the vocal representation than musically. Thus, this is one of the most authentic releases to date in this field of filth.
We’ve established that this album is heavily rooted in the early 1990’s, we could end this here, I won’t have much more to say to be honest as I am far more concerned with enjoying this album. But for the purists, there’s plenty of variation, twists and turns, tempo changes, blast beats, standard beats all wrapped up in a triumphant recording. The ambience, the organic sound is pretty special too. ‘Possessed Angels’ has some pace, with enough compression in the sound to chop the rhythm in two and vocally to squeal and scream into a slight groove with a heads down approach. ‘Destroying The Trinity’ growls into the undead souls of the underworld, you may find some Deicide, some Morbid Angel, and you’ll definitely find plenty of fury.
I find this release has something for everyone from the hardened old school death metal fan, to those who embrace the various branches of the death metal tree, to those who find everything they listen to an ugly filthy fact of life, even some of sceptics may pause for thought. There’s a tirade coming, this releases jewel is the production, the annihilated earthen foundation is crawling from the underworld, there’s a time to be melodic, old school and downright extreme and "Throne Of Insanity" captures it all. This is an album that I can highly recommend, it’s your mission to hunt this down, there’s only 500 physical copies produced thus far.

la escena metalera venezolana es relativamente desconocida, de hecho a mi mente se me vienen un par de buenas bandas thrash y heavy metal, como “Sistema Diez” por ejemplo, no así de bandas death metal de Venezuela, los motivos pueden ser muchos, falta de promoción, falta de bandas que marquen una diferencia, etc, sin embargo gracias al sello ruso “Satanath Records quienes se encargon de presentarme a esta muy buena banda, “Evil Reborn”, la cual me dejo una muy grata impresión, su death metal es sólido, técnico, basado en influencias clásicas como: Death, Vader, Immolation (antiguo), entre otras, y lograron llamar mi atención por varios motivos, uno de ellos es la muy buena ejecución tanto de guitarras como de batería y un trabajo llamativo en el bajo, por lo demás lograron un tremendo disco como es “Throne Of Insanity”, lleno de buenos riff pesados y densos, con solos bastante bien logrados, y lo mas importante la música te envuelve desde el primer corte llevándote por los nueve temas a un sin fin de sensaciones, de cambios de ritmos y sin perder brutalidad, aparte lograron un muy buen sonido en general, limpio pero agresivo, aporta mucho la brutal voz de “Victor”, la cual entrega maldad y fuerza a cada composición, aportando variedad a los temas, tanto en inglés como en español sumado a el potente bajo, hace tronar los parlantes del equipo, logrando un sonido poderoso y brutal, en este disco los “blast” no se utilizaron en batería, y creo que estarían de mas, ya que la agresividad no se pierde en la ejecución. Un disco musicalmente hablando de muy buen nivel, la banda no debe envidiarle nada a bandas death metal de otras latitudes
Luego de esta introducción, puedo hablar en detalle de algunos temas del disco que me parecieron notables, como es el tema que abre el disco “Black Dahlia“, luego de una breve intro es importante golpear fuerte con el track numero 1, y así ocurre, una potente y feroz composición, que violentamente sacude tu cabeza al ritmo de guitarras y la grotesca voz que no dejara indiferente a nadie, un pedazo de death metal bien logrado y que te hace seguir con interés la dinámica de lo presentado por los “Evil”.
“Adiccion Visceral” es uno de los dos temas en español del disco y uno de los mejores logrado del disco, buenos cambios de ritmos de la bateria ,que a doble bombo va demoliendo tus neuronas, la voz se hace mas cruenta dando matices entre gritos y guturales, por otra parte el bajo se luce tomando protagonismo, aportando técnica y empuje, un tema que logra destacar dentro del los nueve composiciones. Quiero finalizar analizando un ultimo tema “Throne Of Isanity“ya que se posiciona dentro del disco por su bestialidad y maldito sonido, como uno de los temas de ritmo medio, hecho para el movimiento frenético de tu cabeza, una muestra brutal de técnica asociada al death clásico pero que suena “fenómeno”.
El disco “Throne Of Isanity” es una muestra de que con trabajo y técnica, puedes realizar un material digno de mostrar con orgullo, bien por la escena venezolana que en Evil Reborn tiene una banda de exportación, con un disco muy bueno y que sin duda pagaría por verlos en vivo, ojala se den una vuelta algún día por nuestra tierra y nos deleiten con buen death metal.

Le Vénézuela est le berceau de EVIL REBORN né en septembre 2012. Originaire de la ville de Maturin dans l’Etat de Monagas, le groupe publia au cours du mois de juin 2013 un EP intitulé « « Bendita Malevolencia » comportant trois morceaux dont une reprise. Cette année, les vénézuéliens reviennent avec un premier album dénommé « Throne Of Insanity ». Tout au long de ce dernier, le death metal pratiqué par le quintet est bercé pertinemment par le old school. Aussi, de par cette approche, des influences thrash ressortent de l’ensemble ainsi qu’un peu de groove à l’instar du bon riff de « Black Dahlia ». D’autre part, des approches death thrash se manifestent comme lors du ravageur « Adiccion Visceral » ou encore dans une moindre mesure sur « A Morbid Encounter ». Par ailleurs, les compositions conçises renferment de nombreux breaks et changements d’humeur rendant par conséquent les structures complexes tels « Evil Reborn », l’éponyme « Throne Of Insanity », « Adiccion Visceral », et « Bendita Malevolencia ». Notez au passage que les deux derniers morceaux sont extraits de l’EP mentionné auparavant. Ensuite, on s’intéressera aux solos, sortant parfois du cadre death metal et affichant une certaine dextérité. Dommage qu’ils ne soient pas davantage longs. On notera en particulier ceux sur « Evil Reborn », « Adiccion Visceral », sans oublier le plus long et mélodique présent via « Possessed Angels ». Remarquez que celui-ci possède même un lead de basse, instrument qui ressort bien au fil de l’écoute. Pour le reste, « Destroying The Trinity » renferme un long final davantage posé. Quant à « Night Killer », il renferme une grosse poussée d’adrénaline. Mêlant tradition et modernité, ce premier album trouvera sans problème du répondant auprès des amateurs du genre. Au regard du résultat, EVIL REBORN a encore de la ressource en réserve et peut élargir son public à l’avenir.

Я признаюсь, что я нашла письма очень хорошо написано и звучит неплохо для начинающего band. Ребята знают командование свои документы безукоризненно и с большим мастерством. Я уверен, что они будут обращать внимание в метро сцена очень скоро.
Акцент на треки " morbid встреча " и " черный георгин ", которые обеспечивают чужих ушей все удовлетворение работу очень хорошо и казнили.

For most bands, making an impact in the music industry takes years of the proverbial, blood, sweat, and tears. But for 2012 formed EVIL REBORN, forging a name for themselves as one of the bright up and coming Death Metal mainstays seems to have come quickly and emphatically. With the release of “Throne Of Insanity”, their old-school Death Metal influences are on full display, leaning heavy on the infectious chugging riffage and pounding bass lines that were once the staple of this sub-genre. Hailing from Venezuela, ER consists of Victor Chaparro (vocals), José Maneiro (drums), Jorge Medina (guitar), Alfredo Herrera (guitar), and Jesús Maneiro (bass). Here is a breakdown of the record:
"Black Dahlia" starts with a groovy riffage but moves forward to a much more maniacal form. Though the track has a fluctuating character, it never loses its intensity, with great drumming, striking guitars and splendid bass. All in all, the track is a good opener. "Evil Reborn" kicks in with some heavy, sinister and melodic power. The vocals shine on this track, as well as the drums and the guitars. In short, this is a very well rounded track. "Adicción Visceral" blasts in powerful vocals, backed up with astounding drumming. Though the track seemed a bit repetitive in the middle, it wasn't for long. The furious guitars and audible bass lines took over from there. "Possessed Angels" is another fast and groovy track on this record, with hints of Black Metal throughout. The track features a melodic guitar solo in the middle, with a bass solo as an added bonus..
"A Morbid Encounter" is one hell of a powerful track from the start to the finish. With powerful vocals, versatile drumming, fierce, yet melodic guitars and triumphing bass, this is one of the best tracks on the record. "Destroying The Trinity" is a great melodic death metal track with some good old fashion thrash influences and is a treat for all headbangers. The vocals and guitars are yet again powerful. Like on the previous tracks, you'll hear the distinct pounding bass. "Thrones of Insanity" is another powerful and chaotic inclusion in the album. You can hear some VADER influences here and there. There are good vocals, as is the drumming, but it’s the heavy and monstrous riffage that backs up the track. "Night Killer" starts off slow but don't let that fool you. It has power and intensity and is one of the heaviest tracks of the album, which seems to be a bit schizophrenic at times. So watch out! "Bendita Malevolencia" is the closing track of the album, or should I say, a hidden monster. A well-rounded mix of melody and brutality. Though it is one of the slowest tracks on the record, it never loses its spark. It’s dark and Melodic and it's Heavy! Moreover, good album!
If Death Metal is your genre of choice, and you prefer the original groove-heavy, old school chugging style, EVIL REBORN was tailor-made for you. Pick up “Throne Of Insanity”, and support the hell out of these guys.

Lo de Latinoamérica ya es cosa seria. La cantidad de bandas de excelente calidad que están saliendo de nuestro continente en los últimos años nos hace acreedores (y merecedores) de ser tenidos en cuenta en la escena mundial del metal. Los venezolanos Evil Reborn son otro de esos muy buenos exponentes del metal sudamericano, formado por Victor Chaparro en voz, Jorge Medina y Alfredo Herrera en guitarras, Jesús Maneiro en bajo y José Maneiro en batería.
Pues bien, “Throne of insanity” es su disco debut (en 2003 editaron un EP), un álbum lleno de death metal old-school, aquel que cultivaban bandas como Canibal Corpse, Morbid Angel o Deicide, es decir lo más ortodoxo y enraizado en los 90’s que se pueda encontrar dentro del metal de la muerte.
Los fans del estilo saben a qué atenerse y no pedirán demasiado virtuosismo ni cosas raras, y si encontraran agresividad pura, riffs velocísimos, bases contundentes, cambios de ritmos, un vocalista de rango áspero y con una forma de cantar típica del estilo, todo esto comprimido en escasos 30 minutos de puro death metal. Un más que prometedor comienzo el de Evil Reborn, quienes seguramente si siguen en esta brecha tendrán un futuro altamente exitoso.

Dopo diverso tempo di assenza, sono lieto di riproporre una nuova puntata di quella che chiamo la mia pseudo rubrica “Pechino Express”, ovverosia recensioni di band provenienti da paesi che in genere non sono esportatori di primo piano di gruppi Metal. Questa volta ci rechiamo in Venezuela, stato che in questi ultimi anni sta vivendo un periodo storico piuttosto sfavorevole e complicato, da cui provengono questi Evil Reborn, quintetto originario della piccola città di Maturìn che con il loro “Throne Of Insanity” esordiscono presso l’etichetta russa Satanath Records, coadiuvata dalla Evil’s Records. Nonostante la particolare provenienza geografica, gli Evil Reborn assorbono pienamente il sound tipico del Death americano, pescando a pieni da mani soprattutto dai Deicide, ascoltate l’inizio di “Adicción Visceral” e ditemi se non ricorda “Serpents Of The Light”, ma anche da band come Cannibal Corpse e Malevolent Creation per come i nostri sudamericani alternano parti veloci ad altre più cadenzate. Le capacità tecniche del quintetto non si discutono, anche perché mettono in evidenza un buon gusto solistico fatto di sweep e buone melodie, oltre ad un bassista di livello come Jesús Maneiro. Purtroppo, nonostante questo, “Throne Of Insanity” non riesce ad emergere in maniera netta dalle numerose uscite che inondano il mercato in buona sostanza per tre semplici motivi: una produzione troppo secca che toglie potenza ai pezzi, un songwriting troppo prevedibile e privo di riff veramente killer, ed un vocalist troppo monocorde, che non riesce a dare alle varie tracce presenti quella carica aggiuntiva tale da poter cambiare l’andamento di un brano. Insomma, pur concedendo una mezzora di sano headbanging, anche con qualche brano che alla lunga esce fuori dalla massa, dubito che questo esordio rimarrà alla lunga nel mio stereo. Da rivedere.
BRIEF COMMENT: Even though Evil Reborn come from Venezuela, their Death Metal is pretty close to the one of American bands such as Deicide, Malevolent Creation and Cannibal Corpse. So, their first full length “Throne Of Insanity” is a bit too predictable, but some songs are good enough to hope they can improve the others as well.

So here we have the debut LP from a South American death metal crew, released on a Russian label and being blasted out here in sunny Colchester. Talk about diversity in action!
Evil Reborn is a Venezuelan band that formed in 2012. This is their second release and follow up to the ‘Bendita Malovelencia’ EP back in 2013. Now bolstered with a second guitarist – Alfredo Herrera and a new bass player – Jesus Maniero, Evil Reborn sound fat, powerful and destructive on every one of the nine tracks here. Pretty much a melting pot of all your favourite death metal bands and with a heavy thrash vibe to a lot of the riffs these young’uns crank out a wicked blend of death metal which, although sounding ‘classic’ still ripples with a more modern song writing style and groove. Nice to see in this genre which when you say a new band has an ‘old school sound’ it usually churns means Swedeath worship by the sack load.
Following the brief news report style intro we’re off into ‘Black Dahlia’ and there’s those classic chugging thrash metal riffs being hurled at you one after the other before we’re off like a whippet with its tail on fire into speedville! These boys can play and I’ve got to give props to guitarist Jorge Medina who produced this gem as the sound is crystal clear without sounding processed to fuck. Every instrument is up there battering you, especially Jesus Maneiro’s jazzy bass licks. The song writing on this record is top notch and the variety on display here really gives you something to wrap your lug’oles round. There’s your standard blasts, Meshuggah nudging tempo changes, classic solo’s and Victor Chaparro’s growling vocals fluctuate from being all ‘Glen Benton’ one minute to sounding like Trevor Strnad the next with a bit of slammy ‘bree bree’ sprinkled here and there (although thankfully not too much as I fuckin’ hate that bollocks). This ensures zero boredom and maximum replay value.
This is a surprisingly good album from a band that has obviously taken care to sound as fresh as possible while making their roots evident. There are only 500 physical copies (499 now) so get hold of it sharpish!

Ahh, here’s the stuff; 31 minutes of heavy, chunky death metal to help you get through your day. Evil Reborn play a satisfying brand of death metal that sees them visit a few different eras, essentially resulting in some timeless, classic death metal fun for all of the family.
With muscular riffs and deep growling vocals, Throne of Insanity easily makes friends as it clubs them to death with a belligerent snarl.
There’s some good guitar-work on here, including some decent solos, and the entire band seem to know what they’re doing, really. They also have their heads screwed on straight when it comes to the songwriting too, as these tracks are well-composed and have some nice touches here and there. Evil Reborn don’t concentrate on just one particular type of death metal, instead they spread themselves around a bit, with various speeds, moods and riffs used to make up the songs.
Higher screams are used to add variety to the primarily growled assault, and these are performed well. The singer has a good voice and sounds a bit like he might chew on souls for fun.
The production on Throne of Insanity is thick and strong, much like the band’s music. Combined with the songs themselves it makes for a very gratifying listen.
Well, I’ve really enjoyed this, and Evil Reborn have impressed with their skills on Throne of Insanity. Traditional death metal fans – don’t overlook this one!

EVIL REBORN is a band from Venezuela that was formed in 2012 and only released an EP called ”Bendita Malevolencia” three years ago, prior to this. It featured three tracks ’Bendita Malevolencia’, ’Adicción Visceral’ (which are also featured on this album) and the HYPOCRISY cover ’Pleasure Of Molestation’. Compared to this EP, on ”Throne Of Insanity” the band is significant tighter and better. In style, the band didn’t change much. On ”Throne Of Insanity” you’ll hear elements of ABORTED, SEVERE TORTURE, BLOOD RED THRONE, JUNGLE ROT and CANNIBAL CORPSE, just to name a few, but the form of EVIL REBORN doesn’t reach the tempo and intensity of these aformentioned bands. Still, their Death / Thrash knows how to convince with the technical and straight forward drumming by José Maneiro. Guitarists Jorge Median and Alfredo Herrera deliver some typical brutal riffs in the vein of MALEVOLENT CREATION a.o., while combining them with more melodic (Gothenburg style) counterparts. At least as strong are the solos. For example ’Possessed Angels’ suddenly get way more class because of an excellent on in the breakdown. Also bass player Jesús Maneiro does a fine job. From almost every form of Metal there’s something to be found, so it serves many camps. The nine tracks sound much alike, but while it’s a solid release, this is not necessarily a negative point. But, while the variation is low, there are no real highlights. If you’re charmed by the bands mentioned before, give ”Throne Of Insanity” a listen, because it’s not bad at all.

EVIL REBORN „Throne Of Insanity“ (Satanath/Evil‘s) Genre: Death Metal Zumindest als Hidden Track hätten sie das Hypocrisy-Cover ihrer EP ruhig unterbringen können: ‘Pleasures Of Molestation’ mit Jesus am Bass hört man schließlich nicht alle Tage. Wobei es sich um kein schräges Pseudonym handelt: EVIL REBORN sind Debütanten aus Venezuela, da ist der Name nicht so ungewöhnlich. Die beiden anderen Demo-Songs, ‚Addiccion Visceral‘ und ‚Benedita Malevolencia‘, wurden schließlich auch gerettet und neu aufgenommen. Seither textet das Quintett auf Englisch. Über die Produktion kann man nicht meckern, technisch sind die Jungs fit, und sie reiten die Songs nicht tot; nur einer von neun übertritt so gerade eben die 4-Minuten-Grenze. Ihr Groove ist vom Opener ‚Black Dahlia‘ an satt, die vielen Tempowechsel sitzen, und der bereits genannte Heiland tut sich öfter als Lead-Basser hervor – besonders aber in der Bandhymne ‚Evil Reborn‘. Victor blökt nicht monoton in einer ewig gleichen Tonlage, sondern variiert keifend. In den Soli nehmen Alfredo und Jorge gerne Tempo und Aggression raus und zeigen eine melodische Handschrift auf Heavy Metal-Basis (‚Possessed Angels‘). Wie gut der alte Coversong gepasst hätte, zeigt ‚Night Killer‘ mit Riffs, die an Tägtgrens „Oscolum Obscenum“-Phase erinnern. Eine extrem starke Ausgangsposition für die Venezuelaner, die sie beim zweiten Album mit etwas sorgsamer herausgearbeiteten Refrains noch ausbauen können. Beim Titelsong hatten sie jedenfalls den richtigen Riecher, er thront tatsächlich über dem Album und wird nicht zu früh verschossen. (BTJ) 10 Punkte
Comincio seriamente ad avere un debole, peraltro mai celato, per il Death sudamericano. Questa volta è il turno del Venezuela. Boh, sarà che me li immagino un po’ tagliati fuori dal mondo e dal progresso questi ragazzi, ma la loro musica è dannatamente e genuinamente Old School. La voce in questo caso è molto ma molto versatile e, caso raro, maschera molto bene le proprie origini. La batteria invece mi ha colpito per l’estrema energia mista ad una spontaneità veramente molto marcata. Le tracce sono fresche, nel senso che ormai è diventato raro sentire del sano Death di vecchia scuola, quindi in un certo senso si va a chiudere un cerchio in cui il tornare alle origini genera suoni che da tempo non si sentono in giro nel panorama mondiale. Dedicato davvero a chi non ha mai smesso di amare questo bellissimo genere…

I don’t want to say it but I think I have seen this band name used previously by at least one other band. But hey, all the cool band names are about to run low and if you stand out enough people will recognize you as this or that EVIL REBORN. I don’t know how many Venezuelan metal bands that I’ve heard but I guess they can all be counted on one hand. This started out a bit weak, with a promise of being a rather dull death metal album but the further in I got the more hooked I got. Not the fastest or most brutal album you’ll hear but still filled with enough good stuff to keep you on your toes.

I think I never heard the name Evil Reborn before although the fact the Venezuelan band debuted with a (limited edition) self-released MCD entitled ‘Bendita Malevolencia’ (which also included a Hypocrisy cover song) in 2013. Nowadays the band is working together with Satanath Records which resulted in their debut full-length CD ‘Throne Of Insanity’ which was co-released by both labels.
Evil Reborn plays straight forwarded death metal that is executed with Swiss precision. Whilst listening to ‘Throne Of Insanity’ I keep on referring to bands such as Angelcorpse, Thou Art Lord and Deicide, bands that made some darn memorable albums back in the days. I don’t know if Evil Reborn ever will be mentioned in one sigh with aforementioned bands and reach the same legendary status in years to come, but only time will tell. A great debut CD that shows a bright future for Evil Reborn.

Mais uma boa estreia que nos chega dos reinos da América do Sul. Se antes aquela parte do continente poderia ser representantiva de sonoridades puramente underground com produções precárias, já há muito tempo que essa realidade faz parte do passado e os Evil Reborn são o exemplo que comprova essa regra. Com um som extremamente poderoso e composições que apesar de remontarem ao death metal old school, não deixam também de cativar pela sua eficácia e simplicidade, embora de vez em quando tenham bons pormenores técnicos. Uma estreia cheia de riffs e solos de qualidade e que nos surpreendeu pelo vício. Como estes venham muitos mais.

Evil Reborn is a Venezuelan death metal band formed in 2012, with an EP behind them, this is their first full length album, and it’s fair to say it’s a killing machine of near death perfection. Taking all the charms and evil sounds from the classics, Evil Reborn could have easily formed in Florida, , but it’s not all hero worship, there are some modern death metal influences added for good measure and some nods to Swedish old school, but more so in the vocal representation than musically. Thus, this is one of the most authentic releases to date in this field of filth.
We’ve established that this album is heavily rooted in the early 1990’s, we could end this here, I won’t have much more to say to be honest as I am far more concerned with enjoying this album. But for the purists, there’s plenty of variation, twists and turns, tempo changes, blast beats, standard beats all wrapped up in a triumphant recording. The ambience, the organic sound is pretty special too. ‘Possessed Angels’ has some pace, with enough compression in the sound to chop the rhythm in two and vocally to squeal and scream into a slight groove with a heads down approach. ‘Destroying The Trinity’ growls into the undead souls of the underworld, you may find some Deicide, some Morbid Angel, and you’ll definitely find plenty of fury.
I find this release has something for everyone from the hardened old school death metal fan, to those who embrace the various branches of the death metal tree, to those who find everything they listen to an ugly filthy fact of life, even some of sceptics may pause for thought. There’s a tirade coming, this releases jewel is the production, the annihilated earthen foundation is crawling from the underworld, there’s a time to be melodic, old school and downright extreme and "Throne Of Insanity" captures it all. This is an album that I can highly recommend, it’s your mission to hunt this down, there’s only 500 physical copies produced thus far.

Z temných chodeb venezuelského podzemí ke mě dorazila na recenzi prvotina šílenců EVIL REBORN. Jedná se o záležitost, která udělá radost každému příznivci CANNIBAL CORPSE, MALEVOLENT CREATION, SINISTER, DEICIDE, MONSTROSITY. Ostré, nekompromisní riffy jsou prokládány temnotou a takovou tou špínou, kterou lze nasbírat jen na starých jatkách. Těžký, hutný rytmus se mísí jako pára nad hrncem se vztekem. Na povrch někdy vyleze i sólová kytara, která se kroutí jako červ, hlodající dávno tlející mrtvolu. U EVIL REBORN mě fascinuje nasazení, odhodlání - věci, které u death metalu tolik miluju. Zde ještě navíc opepřeny jihoamerickým temperamentem. Nedochází sice k žádnému bourání stylu, kapela hraje spíše klasicky, ale práce je to řemeslně perfektně zvládnutá. Do téhle hrobky se budu rád a často vracet.
"Throne of Insanity" je jako mantra, odříkávaná k vyvolávání příšery z hlubin. Přehrány jsou všechny důležité motivy, ale není přidáváno nic navíc. Zařazuji si tak kapelu mezi chutné, bolestivě přitažlivé, ale nechci po nich žádnou velkou progresi. Špatnou zprávou pro Venezuelany je, že podobných smeček běhá po světě obrovské množství. EVIL REBORN mě oslovili svým upřímným vyjádřením hudebního násilí, nenávisti vůči církvím. Zajímavé jsou i hororové vsuvky. Zvláštní je, že zpočátku jsem album vnímal spíše odmítavě, dozrálo v dobré až časem, po spoustě poslechů. Možná mi nejdřív chyběl větší tlak, ale pak jsem se naladil na temné melodie a začal si s chutí podupávat nohou. Prvotina v podobném duchu má rozhodně smysl. Budu tuhle smečku i nadále pečlivě sledovat.

EVIL REBORN letos předkládají velmi solidní, tradiční materiál. Novinka je pořádně ostrým kořením, které si budete dávat s chutí. Líbí se mi atmosféra celé nahrávky, která je dynamická a krutá. "Throne of Insanity" je někdy až moc příjemným albem, ocenil bych víc temnoty. Technika se zde potkává s brutalitou ve velmi zajímavém poměru. Poslech si užívám a rád se k albu budu vracet i v budoucnu. Novinka je úderem přímo do obličeje. Nekompromisním, drsným, syrovým. Morbidní záležitost! Velmi dobře!

This is the debut cd from Venezuela's Evil Reborn that is total old-school death metal. The music is defintly early ninties death metal that borrows influences from both the early U.S and Europe scenes with a lot of their own ideas and music.The guitars are played at both a hyper fast speed and also a slower mid pace style.The vocals are done in the early ninties style growls and even some screams entertwined in a few of the songs.If you are a fan of early death metal that is both very catchy and heavy then be sure to pick up a copy of Throne Of Insanity today.

Throne of Insanity – to pełnowymiarowy debiut wenezuelskiego kwintetu Evil Reborn, wydany w rosyjskiej Satanath Records 17 maja 2016 roku w skład którego wchodzą Jose Maneiro (perkusja), Jorge Medina (gitary), Victor Chaparro (wokal), Jesus Maneiro (bass), Alfredo Herrera (gitary).
Płyta składa się z 9 utworów, oscylujących między 3-4 minuty. Techniczne death metalowe granie z ciekawym różnorodnym wokalem, który trochę zahacza o klimaty deathcorowe, i zaraża słuchacza wyselekcjonowanymi riffami, mnóstwo różnorodnych przejść na perkusji, zmiany tępa, sprawiają, że muzyka na albumie hołduje starej szkole death metalu, zarazem słychać powiew świeżego tętniącego życiem metalu. Silną stroną tej płyty jest różnorodność, co sprawia że kilka utworów zapada w pamięć – Possessed Angels, dobre tępo, old schoolowe brzemienie; ciężki raz szybki – raz mozolny Destroying the Trinity, czy Bendita Malevolencia, w ojczystym języku, ostra łupanka, z klimatem szaleństwa Dying Fetus, która zdecydowaniem jest najlepszym elementem tej płyty.
Album należy do tych, które się już gdzieś słyszało. Myślę, że znajdą się maniacy, którym te nagrania mogą sprawić przyjemność, mi jest on jednak obojętny.

Death Metal massiccio e carico di groove dal Venezuela: esatto, dal Venezuela, ma decisamente molto statunitense ed europeo nel DNA. Gli Evil Reborn non ci vanno per nulla leggeri con "Throne Of Insanity"...
Il blast beat è parte integrante e perseverante delle movenze ritmiche e si alterna a tempi medi granitici, mentre chitarristicamente e vocalmente parlando ritroviamo le ricette di artisti a noi noti da tempo quali Cannibal Corpse, Hypocrisy, Severe Torture, Blood Red Throne, Malevolent Creation e Vader. Di tanto in tanto poi viene piazzata un'apertura di stampo melodico-thrash ("Destroying The Trinity") o l'ambito groove viene maggiormente valorizzato ("Possessed Angels").
Intensità ed energia martellante sono due costanti, da un lato possono essere tranquillamente considerate qualità trainanti del disco, dall'altro ne rappresentano — seppur in parte — il limite. La prestazione del gruppo in un paio di occasioni finisce per assumere difatti una forma esageratamente monolitica e monocorde, tuttavia lontana dall'annoiare e tracce ideali per il libero scapocciamento quali sono "Adicción Visceral", "Throne Of Insanity" e "Night Killer" ne sono la conferma.
Le note positive aggiuntive sono infine identificabili nei buoni assoli disseminati in scaletta dalle sei corde di Jorge Medina e Alfredo Herrera, nell'opportuno uso del marcio ed efferato growl — talvolta simile pure allo scarico di un lavandino o a uno scream soffocato — del cantante Victor Chaparro e nell'operato dietro al mixer (di cui è artefice lo stesso chitarrista Medina) capace di rendere giustizia ai brani e far sì che anche le più che discrete linee di basso ideate da Jesús Maneiro siano alquanto udibili.
"Throne Of Insanity" è un disco rivolto a chi adora il death metal e non se ne stanca proprio mai. Se siete fra questi, gli Evil Reborn sapranno di certo come soddisfarvi.

Evil Reborn is the name of this 5-headed monster from Maturín, Monagas, Venezuela, formed in 2012. Death Metal, not so surprisingly, is the name of the game with them.
Throne of Insanity is Evil Reborn's debut full-length outing, and man these Venezuelan dark-haired Death Metal heroes know how to play heavy, crushing and ear-slaughtering shit. They have an ear for some nice solo work, which is a definite plus. The core sound of Evil Reborn hits all the criteria in the basic syllabus of Death Metal; everything is in the right place. Their great and convincing vocalist Victor Chaparro manages to churn out some maggots and other mollusks from out of the back of his throat, though at times (not much, but still) he also tends to use these pig squeals and Metalcore-ish (i.e. Randy Blythe of Lamb of God) vocal styles that have always been more or less a definite turn-off for me, basically killing all that intensity they built up until they pop up annoyingly in a song.

Редкостной злобой и сакральной мизантропией наполнен этот компакт. Торжествующий негатив прямо-таки сочится из колонок. Требуя, чтобы вы подкрутили ручку громкости. Просто маниакальный диск — тут затрамбовали столько много мяса и так разборчиво полили красным, что нужно приглядеться повнимательнее.
Тут никакого бинокля не надо, дабы узреть, что венесуэльцы преисполнены означенных выше чувств. К тому же имеют возможность, граничащую, прямо скажем, с талантом — музыкальным — реализовать эмоции в виде енного музматериала. Лабают дэт метал уже 5 лет, а до сабжевого кругляша выстрелили эпишкой (там был еще каверок - Pleasure of Molestation (Hypocrisy cover). Эпишка, к слову, завоевала премию «Лучший ЕР 2013 года» по версии ресурса Melomaniac.
И вот в прошлом году заделали мегамощную тему с Throne Of Insanity, не пойму только, почему сюда не воткнули кавер Хипокриси, ибо два остальных трака с эпишки в наличии. Может быть с авторскими правами не разобрались? Неизвестно. Отмечаю просто, что с удовольствием бы прослушал этот боевик в исполнении Evil Reborn. Ибо те показывают себя с такой стороны, что имеют право на исполнении дэтового эпика.
А и правда - олсдкул-дэт-оскал, тяжесть и чудовищное землетрясение от венесуэльских дэто-маниаков.
Вокалист достойно себя проявляет — на два голоса: трешевый и дэтовый, полноценный внутренний (внешний) диалог как при делириум тременс (белая горячка). Такая же аудиальная экспансия, а ведь это просто необходимость следовать за материалам. Не стоит абстрагироваться при исполнении вокала от музыкального катка, а то он вдруг догонит и может немного накрыть. Не стоит «игнорять» - добром не закончится.
Это прекрасно осознает вокаллер, и по звериному цепко вцепляется когтями в музыкальное тело компо и уверено там производит сущности - их число более чем число треков (не забыли, что работает на пару вокалов?). Виктор побеждает, звукореж согласился имплементировать его вокал как мощный и чуть ли не главный компонент музыкального послания. В этом мы видим наследие раннего Слэйера. Ага!
В группе работают два гитариста, вероятно - на всякий случай)), НО - будьте уверены, впечатляющая гитарная работа в стиле раннего Хипокриси фиксируется здесь с крайним удовольствием. Может быть только стоит отметить, что произведена она на диске с прецизионностью и четкостью. Да и бензопила в траке 8 не зря звучит, она как бы намекает, на что похожа в целом креативность струнников в своем действующем виде. Ибо композер(ы) создавал(и) оригинально напиленные как сами треки, так и внутреннее их содержание (с максимальным пиететом утверждаю).
Потому все это получает в итоге высокие оценки — целую связку черепов — баллов. Доложу еще, что у многих металлистов этот альбом прочно пропишется на месте откуда оперативно вытаскиваются компакты, дабы заправить их в дисковод.
P. S. Сразу же подметил, что с буклетом что-то не так. Точно - он мрачно разворачивается в виде небольшого постера. Да и облога не подкачала. Занозистые монстры холодно облизываются на этот мир — он же приговорен и ожидает своей очереди.
По фотке на постере я узнал, что группа выпустила среди своего мерча уже как минимум три футбы.

Ruski Satanath Records (kao i njegovi ogranci) je već kultni label na globalnoj underground sceni, a srazmerno tome i bendovi koji objavljuju pod ovom etiketom nisu mačiji kašalj. Pred nama je prvi full lenght venecuelanskih death metalaca Evil Reborn pod nazivom Throne of Insanity, objavljen maja 2016. godine. Album se sastoji od 9 pesama ukupnog trajanja 31 minut. Pored novih, na albumu se nalaze i 2 pesme prvobitno objavljene na EP-ju iz 2013. godine. Što se tiče muzike koju nam Evil Reborn nudi, ona je najjednostavnije rečeno death metal u svoj svojoj sili. Žestoki riffovi, ritam sekcija koja vam krcka kosti, opak i potpuno razumljiv growl vokal uz povremene pig-squil pokliče su najuže karakteristike zvuka ovog benda. Ono što bih posebno pohvalio jesu solo gitare koje su fantastično uklopljene, tehnički gledano možda i nisu vanserijski odsvirane, ali kako je svaki ton na pravom mestu tako je i njihovo postojanje na ovom albumu od krucijalnog značaja. Bubnjar povremeno zalazi i u teritorije grind core vratolomija što stvara dodatnu šarenolikost konstrukcije samih pesama. Što se tiče tematike tekstova ona je klasična za ovaj žanr, tu je smrt, horror, malo antihrišćanstva i tome slično. Sve u svemu Throne of Insanity je vrlo pitak i kvalitetan album koji od srca preporučujem svim fanovima death metala, kao i extreme metala uopšte.

A Death Metal album from Venezuela is something you will not find every day – especially none played on such a professional level as it is the case here on “Throne of Insanity”.
Evil Reborn are a pretty new band having been founded in 2012 and after a first EP they have inked a deal to get their debut released.
While the boys from South America are making no attempt to hide their passion for the big bands of the nineties there are a few details that make this record stand out from the pack.
For example there is their dual vocal approach. While the main vocals are of the common deep growling style they are also using some mid-ranged screaming ones. There are some passages with both styles going together in some kind of brutal duet. As far as I remember there is at least one song where the deep voice is singing a verse followed by the higher one singing another one – and then the text gets repeated but with interchanged roles. I have no idea if the vocals are both done by the same dude as only Victor Chaparro is listed as singer. However, this is a pretty interesting concept.
Then there is the fact that the bass can be heard in full detail. Not only that but this instrument seems to be a more prominent in the mix than usual and this is done intentionally. There are passages in nearly each song where the bass is used as solo instrument getting a lot of show time.
Another factor is that while the main songwriting is taken from the Old School Death Metal song book there are some chugging riffs as well. This is far from sounding too modern or going into the Deathcore direction but still it is something that can be noted.
Luckily the major part of the album is just a slab of good old Death Metal that will help you reset your brain after another tiring day in the office. The guitars are heavy and distorted and the drumming is precise and providing some tempo changes as well as blast-beat attacks when needed.
Production wise this album is offering a middle-of-the-road approach with just enough punch and dirt to rip some faces.
Some of the songs are really memorable and have great hooks while others are just a bit generic. However, I had great fun listening to this record in my car on the way back home and more listens will follow for sure.
