Not long ago I came across a single named “Invocations of Wrath and Fire” from Hellcrowned, which is the new second album by the Finnish band Pimeydentuoja. I promptly sang its praises in one of our Shades of Black features, and now I have the deviant pleasure of bringing you the premiere of another slaughtering song from that same album in advance of its March 31 release by the unholy triumvirate of Symbol of Domination Productions (Belarus), More Hate Productions (Russia), and Black Plague Records (USA). This new track is “Into the Catacombs of Misery“.
Since being struck down by that first advance track off of Hellcrowned I’ve learned that Pimeydentuoja first assembled back in 2009 and since then have released the Black Goat Psalm demo in 2012, a debut album named The Devil’s Epoch in 2015, and a single called “Sadist Ritual” last year.
It’s no exaggeration to say that “Into the Catacombs of Misery” takes no prisoners. It manifests a lethal intent, expelling a foul and pestilential form of black/death blasphemy that’s as crushing as it is poisonous. Perhaps the most striking aspect of the song to these mangled ears is the impact of the drum work. The sound of those hammering, slugging, somersaulting assaults is deep and powerful, and it’s inflicted as if the drummer was determined to smash and segment every joint in every listener’s skeletal structure.
Against those punishing but galvanizing rhythms, the vocalist expels gargantuan roars, while the thick, distorted riffs buzz and swarm with a tone that calls to mind gruesome old school Scandinavian death metal. The song’s overall impact is massive (and there’s a demented solo waiting for you in there, too).
In addition to this new song, I’ve included streams of two previously released tracks below. As a reminder of those, “Invocations of Wrath and Fire” pulses with unholy infectious energy, and it also swarms like a maddened viper nest, complete with gruesome growls and howls of apparently inhuman origin, while “Deiphagous Death Torment” is more of a thrashing onslaught, though the band deliver some massive hammer blows in that track as well. And all of these songs are damned infectious as well as barbaric.

I can't pronounce Pimeydentuoja either. They are from Finland. Their new album, which is their second, is named Hellcrowned and it will be co-released on March 31st by Symbol of Domination Productions (Belarus), More Hate Productions (Russia), and Black Plague Records (USA). The third and the newest album by the blackened death metal band from Finland! These Finnish necro-satanic extremists have prepared 10 brutal tracks totally devoid of any progressiveness, symphonic or melodic stuff. Финские некро-сатано-экстремисты нарулили 10 зверских трэков, полностью лишенных какой-либо прогрессивности, симфонизма или мелодичности. Pimeydentuoja - это музыка на стыке old school death metal шведского типа (Entombed, Dismember) и яростного black/death metal! Это бронебойные боеголовки, начиненные смертью, злобой и ненавистью ко всему, что движется и дышит, ко всем существующим в мире религиям, верованиям и культам, это воспевание Тьмы и Зла в их наиболее черном и бесчеловечном проявлении! Музыка группы сразу сбивает слушателя с ног, наезжая многотонным грузовиком, под колеса которого вы вдруг попадаете, и он сминает вас в одну секунду, в лепешку, наматывая на колеса жилы и перемалывая кости, не оставляя никаких шансов на выживание! Formed in 2009, Finland’s Pimeydentuoja (roughly Bringer of Darkness) released their sophomore album, Hellcrowned in March of 2017 through a joint effort of Symbol of Domination Prod., More Hate Productions, and Black Plague Records. The ten track album occupies the same realm of blasphemic black/death metal as countrymates Archgoat or Beherit yet with a churning, malicious charm all its own.
Thick, vitriolic guitar riffs and thundering bass create a destructive wall of sound, while the pulverizing percussion fires away relentlessly. The vocals manage to present a mixture of deep, bellowing growls and throat torn screams, often in the same movement. The riffs churn malevolently, from atonal jarring to fiery trem riffing on the drop of dime. Though most of the album surges forth, bent on vicious destruction, there are a few surprising moments mixed in, be it the melodic trem phrasing of the title track or the brief atmospheric touch at the beginning of “Altar of the Vile God”.
Hellcrowned is anything but a subtle album; it’s vicious, destructive, and heavy as nails. It’s clear that Pimeydentuoja have labored at honing their sound into their own interpretation of savage black/death metal. Their sound is heavy and blasphemous, but for its punishing decrepitude the riffing isn’t overly memorable. Bottom line, Hellcrowned is a great album if you want to demolish some walls but it’s probably not going to stick with you much longer than that.

Per fortuna il suggeritore della tastiera del mio cellulare mi consiglia dove mettere esattamente le vocali e le consolanti in Pimeydentuoja, altrimenti sarei stato perso nei meandri della lingua finlandese. In realtà lo sono ancora perché non credo di sapere molte altre parole oltre a questa e a qualche titolo degli Amorphis. Dannata ignoranza. E dannate band che di solito fanno roba di qualità decrescente, a causa loro se un qualsiasi secondo album esce bene ne sono sorpreso, è una eccezione. È quello che è capitato con il qui presente 'Hellcrowned' (Satanath Records), fortissimo come una macchinetta di caffè fatta col sangue al posto dell'acqua, molto meglio dell'esordio di due anni fa, che si perdeva tra le altre cose in una produzione indegna. Acido, amaro e dall'indomabile potere distruttivo, bestiale come di recente ho potuto trovare i Serpent Ritual. È logico che non ci troviamo davanti a degli scienziati del pentagramma, ma uscite così dissanguanti fanno capire che black/death non è -per nostra immensa fortuna- la robetta da righello e squadretta degli Belphegor e Svart Crown. E poi la grande domanda è: come è finita nell'intro di "Sadist Torment" una frase in italiano tratta da 'Salò o i 120 giorni di Sodoma', l'ultimo film di Pasolini? Certo è meglio di una delle solite invocazioni sibilline o canti gregoriani, no? Il growl imperioso e molto "americano" come cantato svetta sulla distesa di blast beat e di ritmiche richiamanti a tratti i Necrophobic, a tratti gli Angelcorpse, creando la giusta impalcatura fatta con le carcasse di tutte le divinità con cui i Pimeydentuoja se la prendono.

Очень лаконичный альбом длительностью чуть менее получаса от финской группы с англоязычными текстами и труднопроизносимым названием, которая существует вот уже 8 лет. “Satanic metal of death” — называют свой олдскульный стиль сами музыканты, а мне их музыка напомнила приблэкованный вариант ранних Cannibal Corpse — финны играют настолько же мрачно, утробно и гаражно, за что, видимо, их и короновал ад, а выпустили — More Hate Productions, Symbol Of Domination и Black Plague Records.
На своём втором альбоме ребята нарулили массу таинственных мелодий (взять хоть “Sadist Ritual” и “The Malignant Heretic Prophecy” — кстати, мои любимые треки!), а упругие бас-проигрыши очень хорошо вписываются в их напористый стафф. Самое главное, что просто покорило меня на этом диске, так это категорическая старомодность и очень продуманные гитарные партии вкупе с раскатистыми барабанами и разнообразным гроуло-скримовым вокалом.
Команда не старается шуметь и греметь лишь бы как-нибудь, создавая ненужный и бессмысленный хаос, а чётко и слажено выдаёт разнообразные ритмические рисунки с помощью своего немного приглушённого саунда и рельфных гитарных риффов. Чёрный-чёрный буклет с текстами и какой-то космической дырой выполнен в таком же ностальгическом ключе, и ещё лет 15 назад был бы пределом восторга и мечтаний любого поклонника экстремальных направлений.
Приглушённость не является здесь минусом, но по стандартам современности может показаться странной и нетипичной. Однако если вы усидите в кресле первые минут 5, и ваше ухо привыкнет к особенностям звучания команды, то затем вы точно уже окажетесь в царстве тьмы, безумия, сатанинских культов и архаичного приблэкованного дэта, и я очень подозреваю, что уходить оттуда вам не захочется.
По крайней мере, со мной дело обстояло именно так. Стоило мне проникнуться атмосферой этого альбома, и вот уже мой разум надёжно пленён этими ритмами и мелодиями, а голова рефлекторно покачивается в такт в ожидании характерного келтикфростовского “ы!”, которое время от времени смачно выдаёт вокалист. Pimeydentuoja словно решили напрочь презреть все современные навороты, и нарезают такой прочувствованный стафф, что не полюбить его просто невозможно.
Кстати, скрим тут вызывает ассоциации с пиг-войсами как раз-таки в духе Cannibal Corpse, а в целом музыка напомнила мне смесь Grave, Entombed, Unleashed и ещё десятка древних дэтстеров из начала 90-х. Ну а за вещицы наподобие открывашки “To Death…” и финальной “…And Oblivion” ребят действительно можно чем-нибудь короновать, а лучше просто взять да и послушать альбом. Много времени у вас это не займёт, а положительных эмоций гарантированно будет много.

Pimeydentuoja are a band from Finland that h as been featured before in this zine and plays a bestial mixture of war, black and death metal and this is a review of their 2017 album "Hellcrowned' which was released as a joint effort between Symbol Of Domination, More Hate Productions and Black Plague Records.
Horror movie style synths start off the album along with some demonic yet ritualistic voices in the background and after the intro the music goes into a very fast and raw war metal direction which also utilizes a great amount of tremolo picking and blast beats along with a small amount of morbid sounding melodies.
Vocals are mostly bestial death metal growls along with a few black metal screams and the songs also bring in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts and the music also has a great amount of 90's influences while still having a modern touch and you can also hear all of the musical instruments that are present on this recording and samples are also used briefly and as the album progresses a small amount of melodic guitar leads can be heard.
Pimeydentuoja creates another recording that remains true to the bestial black/death metal style of their previous release, the production sounds very raw and heavy while the lyrics cover blasphemy, demons, satanic rites and anti Christianity themes.
In my opinion this is another great sounding album from Pimeydentuoja and if you are a fan of bestial black/death metal, you should check out this recording.

Если … ой чтот мне надоело уже. Короче, в Pimeydentuoja собрались четыре финна, и они играют блэк металл*(см. ниже). Триколорная обложка недвусмысленно намекает на толстые обстоятельства, что это - тру, что это - олдскул. Может быть даже и сатаник, судя по пикче (так оно и есть).
Формация существует с ноль 9-го года и богата демкой, синглом и двумя полноформатами. Один из которых — крайний я уже воткнул в дископриемное устройство. Не знаю той ли стороной, ибо уже как минут 10 из динамиков изрыгается черная лава. Не «Блак лава» Сатирикона, а вулканическая черная лава, провонявшая креозотом, серой, еще чем-то испепеленным. Спектроанализатор взбесился и показывает четыре буквы (хорошо, что не три), H, E и две L. Это ЗЛОобразные знаки, истинно глаголю вам.
Вокально-инструментальный ансамбль Pimeydentuoja воспроизводит свои идеи в олдовом ключе, возвращаясь на инфернальной машине времени к тем временам, когда грань меж дэт и блэк металлом была очень зыбкой, коварной и смертоносной, как верхняя травяная покрышка на так называемом окне в финском болоте. Это очень интересный стайл музла, который находит много поклонников по всем уголкам этого темного света: Малайзия, Норвегия, Колумбия, Северная Корея (ну, может быть, не Северная Корея).
Фактически это дэт метал — низкочастотный, утробный, почти мифологический, но все такой же мертвый, как и при рождении. Блэковый первородный грех здесь - это необходимая доля медленного сумасшедшего ХАОСА. Да... низкие частоты играют особую роль в этом диске — во-первых, это давление на грудную клетку, поджелудочную железу. 2. инфра-низкие (берите реал диски, желательно два) лупят по психике, создавая ощущение страха и террора. 3. в общем саунде создают впечатление исключительной переполненности атмосферы.
Эти полчаса не пройдут просто так для человека неподготовленного и профана. О медицинских противопоказаниях уже отмечено. А вот адепты темных культов получат истинное наслаждение. Ибо архитектура данных траков составлена таким образом, чтобы приводить самое наилучшее впечатление на оных. Мид-темпо и чуть быстрее упоротая долбежка (группа — ярый противник всех синт барабанов) очень разборчива и буквально закапывает в грунт скептиков от дэт блэк металла. Даже фирменная гулкость драмсов работает на группу, придавая пещерного мрака и бульдозерного выхлопа.
Все наличные гитаристы работают ритмически слаженно, как братья могильщики на хорошо оплачиваемом заказе, и что удивительно - где-то на особо заднем заполошном плане вьются жирные гадюки соляков. Это, как и полается, чертово-думовые риффы, которыми лучше бы оббивать коффины. Гитара примочена настолько сурово, что думаешь: а может быть это вовсе не человеческие руки ее стропалили... вообще звук струнных местами так долблив, что просто шокирует.
Вокалист также работает в очень низком регистре, оригинальным сухим гроулингом, с подложенными слоями дальних вокалов (не знаю уж, можно ли их услышать в мпз, кодек плохо работает с переходными и затухающими звуками. Проверено (с))
Просто отличная работа в стиле «черной смерти».
P. S. Перед тем как начал писать этот отклик, запросил группу, что означает слово Pimeydentuoja. Ребята ответили быстро: «It means "The one who brings the darkness" meaning the Devil".

Pimeydentuoja is a four-piece blackened death metal band hailing from Finland, the home of many of the great underground black metal groups. Finland gave to us great acts such as Horna, Moonsorrow, Baptism, Sargeist and many more awesome bands. Finnish black metal seems to bring a lot to the plate, offering a sort of darkness and grimness that many other bands seem to lack. Pimeydentuoja when translated into English roughly means ‘Bringer of Darkness’, so they are no exception.
Hellcrowned is Pimeydentuoja’s second effort and it is a short but powerful blast of death-tinged black metal. Listening to the first few tracks, I’m reminded of other acts such as Archgoat or Beherit. They serve up a hefty offering of blasphemous black/death with ferocious, pummelling drums that pound your brain into a bloody mess. The guitars and bass provide an unwelcoming, unrelenting wall of sound that only the hardiest of listeners can appreciate. The vocals are made of up various growls, bellows and screams of a man that just had his vocal chords torn out of him. I’d say it’s very appropriate for the subject matter.
Hellcrowned’s title track really sets the stage for this album, starting off the album with a flurry of rapid drum pounding and vocals straight from the pits of hell. I love the gritty, dark atmosphere that seems to be present within this album. The best example of this is in the song ‘Altar Of The Vile God’. The track start off with thunderous bass and reverb-heavy drums that are very reminiscent of Mayhem’s De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas. An album that sets a harsh tone like this really gets the listener invested. The movie/tv excerpt at the start of ‘Sadist Ritual’ seems out of place to me, but that is just me being nitpicky. ‘The Malignant Heretic Prophecy’ is my favourite track. I tend to like slower tracks and this song provides the right amount of heavy drums and cool riffage. It is a recipe for copious amounts of headbanging and good times.
A few complaints are that while the album goes hard, most of the riffs contained within are not very memorable and may dissatisfy listeners of more complicated bands. I also think that the album could’ve been a little bit longer. But one could also argue that if it were any longer it would take a lot more time for the listener to digest the cacophony of noise they just experienced.
All in all, Hellcrowned is an unstoppable force of unholy nature hellbent on destroying your eardrums one track at a time. It’s about as subtle as a freight train barging through your house at 3am. I’d say it’s akin to getting your face pummeled into the pavement, and that’s great if you’re into that sort of thing! I’d highly recommend this album to anyone preparing any sort of demolition operation. Give it a listen, you won’t regret it.

E con un nome così non potevano che essere finlandesi… Comunque hanno solo il nome di finlandese, per il resto il combo sembra uscito con lo stampino dalla scena black della vicina Norvegia… ma pure dalla Svezia. Eppure la rabbia e gli accorgimenti che la band ha messo nella sua seconda opera mi garbano assai, primo tra tutti alcuni spezzoni di film a fare da intro alle tracce (una in particolare è introdotta da uno scambio di battute in italiano dal doppiaggio originale di ‘Salò’ di Pasolini). Musicalmente parlando siamo più vicini al black americano che svedese: pezzi veloci, vocione da inferno e batteria pestata a sangue, ma forse l’atmosfera sottostante tutto l’album tradisce l’origine europea del gruppo, che ben si muove tra il tradizionale black e il più complesso death metal. L’opera non è lunghissima, ma le tracce sono tutto sommato ben costruite e suonate, pur non inventando assolutamente nulla di nuovo.

Formed in 2009, Pimeydentuoja released their second album "Hellcrowned" in 2017. Being a black/death metal band from Finland was never an easy job as they always end up being compared with older bands and vice versa. It's a challenge that somehow Pimeydentuoja managed to overcome.
"Hellcrowned" is a very short black/death metal album but packed with all sorts of elements that are essential and not to say pure and original, but they showed their true colors from the very first track until the end.The guitar works are quite raw and dark but atmospheric at the same time and chaotic melody lines really helps to enhance the mood. Together with the bass guitars perfectly played beneath all the gloomy sound of true horror, and not to forget the intense drum works throughout the entire album.Traces of some essential bestial black/death releases from Finland can be found here and there but still Pimeydentuoja managed to highlight their creative side regardless of the similarities found.
With a total playtime of 29.39, "Hellcrowned" is just another sign that indicates good quality Finnish metal bands are still out there and kicking ass like others! It's a short journey into blasphemy, demons and satanic rites but that doesn't matter at all because Pimeydentuoja have proved the world that they have a place in the metal scene and that's the way it should be.

Another satanic death black metal band from Finland. They don’t seem to be much for Christianity in Finland. I thought Sweden was a secular country but Finland seem to be even more secular. Not that I complain. As long as they produce one fine metal band after the other I am satisfied. And this is following in that Finnish tradition of total blast black metal. I really like this album. It is like being pounded on by an angry drunk. You just take the punches because you know that eventually he/she will tire. And you will stand victorious. Yeah, I know. A strange way to describe the music but what doesn’t kill you strengthen you. And that is what I feel like after having heard this album.

Het Finse Pimeydentuoja brengt ons sinds 2009 dood en verderf in de vorm van demonische black/death metal waarin vooral de christenen het moeten ontgelden. ‘Hellcrowned’ is het tweede album van deze bestiale horde en zij verwennen ons ditmaal wederom met een ongecompliceerde hoop zwartgeblakerde deuntjes. Alles gaat snel, hard en is meedogenloos rauw. Pimeydentuoja betekend zoveel als ‘brenger van duisternis’ en brengen van duisternis doen ze dan ook met veel plezier. Met tien tracks binnen dertig minuten is ‘Hellcrowned’ een compact album met korte en krachtige songs. Hier geen ingewikkelde composities of overdreven techniciteit, alleen rauwe agressie.
Buiten al dat donkere geweld, zit er in nummers als ‘Hellcrowned’ en ‘Sadist Ritual’ ook een duidelijke punk vibe, wat de songs zelf goed doet, maar niet het album als geheel. Een nummer als ‘The Malignant Heretic Prophecy’ daarentegen weegt veel zwaarder op het gemoed met z’n tragere passages. Hier en daar wordt ook gebruik gemaakt van een korte intro om een bepaalde sfeer op te roepen en dat is in de meeste gevallen wel toepasselijk. Pimeydentuoja maakt in ieder geval zijn naam volledig waar en wie dit album een mooie aanvulling voor z’n collectie ziet, moet ook zeker eens luisteren naar hun debuut ‘The Devil’s Epoch’.

The moniker Pimeydentuoja reeks of Finnish stench, and indeed this is a band from the Land of a Thousand Lakes, and more specific from the Vaasa-region at the Bothnian Gulf. The band was formed at the very end of last decade, and in 2012 drummer Fördärv aka Krig V.A., bass player / guitarist Iva aka They Agony, and choirboy / lyricist Herr Razer aka Dödfödd came up with their first official demo, Black Goat Psalm. It took until half of 2015 before the trio released their first full length, The Devil’s Epoch, and now, finally, the ignorant audience can enjoy the sophomore soundtrack for rape and murder, blasphemy and misanthropy, sweetly called Hellcrowned. It was released on compact disc by the unholy trinity of Symbol Of Domination Productions, More Hate Productions and Black Plague Records in an edition of 500 copies, including a six-page booklet with the lyrics (in English). And there’s a tape-edition too, available via Dark Ritual, limited to 100 copies. The material was recorded at the Forsby-based Wolfthrone Studio, and the ten titles last for about half an hour. And the bass lines were performed by a session musician, Ulfurst, who is not part (anymore?) of the basic line-up.
Hellcrowned opens with a bizarre, haunting intro, To Death…, which sort of paints the right atmosphere of what this vicious album stands for. And indeed, as from the title track on, you’ll notice that this album smoothly continues the battle that once started with The Devil’s Epoch. The album brings violent, bestial Diabolic Death Metal with a blackened edge. It’s a raging, merciless experience, fierce and powerful, harsh and punishing. The main tempo is fast, with a couple of blasting explosions but once in a while everything slows down, like that majestic monument called The Malignant Heretic Prophecy. Cool too are the few samples, for example that Italian piece taken from one or another movie, I think, in the necrotic track Sadist Ritual (which is a track, by the way, that was written some years ago, and available on the band’s Bandcamp page as from late October 2016 – Ivan), or the evocative ritual that opens aforementioned The Malignant Heretic Prophecy. Anyway, Pimeydentuoja (which means ‘bringer of darkness’) is an extremely heavy album, with colossal drum patterns (damn, what an energy, what a power, what a masochistic pleasure to be hit by this sadistic ear torture), massive and vitriolic strings, and deep, guttural growls (+ a limited number of evil screams, evidently…). But what strikes me the most is the sound quality. In a way, it has the overwhelming heaviness of those lethal Swedish productions anno nineties, with that chainsaw-sound, that raw, rusty, sharp and unpolished Swedeath-sound.
Is it memorable, this album? No, it is not, seen the huge amount of releases lately. But believe me if I say that this album is a worthy successor of the band’s debut album, and that it has no fillers, just killers. This is a thirty-minute assault that will appease every adept of monumental Satanic Blackened War Death Metal!

Formados en 2009, el cuarteto Pimeydentuoja (algo así como “proveedor de oscuridad”, en su idioma natal) lanza su segundo álbum "Hellcrowned". Oriundos de Finlandia, nos ofrecen un disco muy corto (escasos 29 minutos) de un black metal ultra áspero y repleto de todo tipo de elementos que los sitúan firmes en el old-school.
Todo en “Hellcrowned” es blasfemia, demonios y ritos satánicos sustentados por blast beats, con esa producción cruda y sucia de las bandas trve, con guitarras crudas y oscuras, con trémolos por doquier que contribuyen a la atmosfera de sombrío horror que inunda el disco, y con voces guturales de ultratumba que los acercan al death más brutal.
Temas cortos y directos, aquí no hay florituras de ningún tipo, solo ráfagas de metal negro, que por momentos recuerdan a Marduk y en otros a Belphegor.
Si lo que buscas es agresividad en estado puro, aquí está la solución.

Насколько бы причудливым и непроизносимым ни было бы название этой финской формации, их второй альбом "Hellcrowned", о котором далее и пойдет наш рассказ, представляет собой весьма прямолинейную работу. Совершенно не зря за выпуск этого релиза взялось сразу три лейбла — More Hate Productions, Symbol Of Domination и Black Plague. Главной особенностью этого релиза, пожалуй, стоит назвать то, что "Hellcrowned" совершенно не требует от слушателя строго определенного настроя для того, чтобы тот был в состоянии должным образом воспринять альбом. Иными словами, альбом заходит сразу и без всяких оговорок, так что слушайте при любой фазе луны. Более того, совершенно неважно, чему вы отдаете предпочтение по жизни — блэку или дэту, поскольку и то, и другое в "Hellcrowned" смешано в равных пропорциях. Ну, почти. Забавно, что целый ряд людей для описания этого релиза использовали метафоры вроде «он подойдет, если вы хотите снести пару стен» или «как будто тебя вмазали лицом в асфальт». Красочно, конечно, но вы этому не верьте — не настолько "Hellcrowned" бездумно дэтовый. Да и вообще этот альбом, пожалуй, может показаться скучноватым для тех, кто любит посмаковать прихотливо скроенные композиции: увы, риффы здесь довольно невыразительные. Удивительно, что, будучи явной противоположностью определения «проходной», этот альбом не содержит вообще ничего запоминающегося. За исключением, быть может, интро к "Sadist Ritual": песню финны предварили неопределяемым для меня диалогом на итальянском как будто из какого-то ретро-фильма, и как это связано с "satanic metal of death" (так описали себя сами Pimeydentuoja) — загадка, которую я пытаюсь решить до сих пор. Вокал вот ещё оказался довольно разнообразным: это вам не монотонный рыгающий бубнеж, который сплошь и рядом встречается у некачественных блэкарей. Впрочем, все эти изящные смены темпа и фактуры гроула никоим образом не выпячиваются вперед, и я думаю, что это был осознанный эстетический прием, если хотите, — яркость отдельных элементов была принесена в жертву цельности и органичности. Кроме того, всего альбома хватает меньше чем на полчаса прослушивания — и это вместе с интро и аутро. Так что "Hellcrowned" можно в некотором смысле воспринимать как единую композицию, а для одной композиции ему достает и убедительности, и атмосферности, и злобы, и напряжения, и индивидуальности. Воистину это альбом потусторонний, иначе как ещё объяснить его хамелеонные свойства? В самый первый раз я его послушала после Rotting Christ, и дух гниющего Христа пропитал собой весь альбом, затем я переслушивала Pimeydentuoja после Celtic Frost и снова мне начала мерещиться неоспоримая преемственность, а вот Rotting Christ уже не пахло. Чуть позже я выяснила, что "Hellcrowned" наводит людей на самые разные мысли: кто принимался вполне закономерно вспоминать Archgoat и Beherit, а кому упорно слышались Cannibal Corpse. На самом же деле, Pimeydentuoja не похожи ни на кого из них, а в чем заключается их собственный почерк — черт их разберет. "Satanic metal of death" — это определение столь же живописное, сколь и расплывчатое — подходит им как нельзя лучше. Поэтому не проходите мимо и уделите 26 минут своего времени разгадке финской мистерии.

Finlandia metalem stoi. Siedzi i leży też. Kolejnym dowodem jest zespół pochodzący z tego kraju o ciekawej nazwie Pimeydentuoja. W tym roku wydali swój drugi album "Hellcrowned". Krótko mówiąc jest to rzeź i masakra, bez brania jeńców. Finowie łoją death metal lekko zabarwiony blackiem i szwedzkimi gitarami. Wokale natomiast przywodzą na myśl szkołę amerykańską. A nad wszystkim unosi się potężny duch bluźnierstwa i bezczeszczenia wszystkiego co święte. Nic odkrywczego, ale maniacy starego dobrego łojenia będą usatysfakcjonowani.

Finland has one of the most difficult spoken-words to pronounce in Europe and they did not make it easy with the name of the band, either. They were formed in a town Vaasa, around 2009 but first album was out in 2015 which is called The Devil's Epoch.
With new album – Hellcrowned, the band`s glorification of satanic death metal against religion, Christianity is righteously demonized by extreme and blasphemous metal. The songs are ferocious, fast and vicious as hell and with few ritualistic intros the album received better integration. Vocals are insanely brutal and powerful. Drumming is unstoppable and relentless and I really like when drummer “accents” (second, fourth and eight song for example) his parts in music, so all those storming blast beats become something more and better. While I was listening to fifth song which is a slower one, I realized that they actually sound like old school Swedish death metal bands, to just mention Carnage, first Dark Throne album. Pimeydentuoja is just 10 times faster and darker than these bands and the music is a beast to your ears. Eventually, all those comparisons are not that obvious but I think that Pimeydentuoja is just evil band from its nature. In this release there is a tiny trace to black metal (sloppy guitar solos ala Bathory) - a bit in music but mostly in lyrics. They go really extreme and furious with their bestial death metal. The sound is massive and rough, instrumentally the CD is very intense but they did not lose quality of music because of that.
